Have you ever wanted to do something a little different for your holidays? Maybe your kids are older, or have moved away from home? Maybe you’d like to do something festive, but away from your home town’s activities? Maybe you don’t want to do a lot of cooking this year?

Then maybe Las Vegas in December is for you!

Christmas in Vegas

Just imagine it: A little winter wonderland, without shoveling any snow! Here are some of the fun things you can do while you’re there:

Take a walk up and down the Las Vegas Strip, and check out the decorations at all the hotels. Many of them are decorated inside and out, with Christmas trees, nutcrackers, poinsettias, and snowflakes.

Enjoy the outdoor “ice” skating rink at the Venetian Hotel, open for afternoon and evening, with prices around $15.00 per person.

Venetian Ice Rink

Have some hot cider as you stroll through the Palazzo Hotel, enjoying all the decorations in their Waterfall Atrium and Gardens.

Watch the holiday light show and tree lighting ceremony in the evening, at the Venetian. This event has some great singers and entertainment as well, and it’s free!

Venetian Holiday Light Show

Indulge in a sumptuous holiday buffet at The Wynn,

and enjoy their atrium fully decorated for the occasion.

Also watch the Bellagio Fountains dance to Christmas music all month long, and seek out the holiday-themed cocktails in the hotel bars and lounges.

Of course, you can always do a bit of gambling while you’re in town, too!
