When you think of Disney Resort Hotels, you may think of the classic Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Or you may think of the iconic Contemporary Resort. These hotels are located near Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.

But there’s another very classic Disney Resort Hotel that’s located near Epcot – Just past Epcot’s “Back Entrance” at the International Gateway, and within easy walking distance of the park. It’s Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and it’s one of my personal favorites!

Beach Club Resort

The style here is very traditional, with calming tones of yellow and blue, and there are several room types to choose from:

Standard View, which may face a parking area

Woods or Garden View, which faces the resort gardens

Pool or Lagoon View, from which you can see one of the resort pool areas or the boating waterway Crescent Lake

And you can also add Club Level services to any of the above room types. Club Level amenities include turndown service, access to the Club Lounge where refreshments are served from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily, and Signature Services to help you with your vacation plans.

The resort also offers One-Bedroom and Two-Bedroom Suites with Club Level Services.

Beach Club Lobby

Like all Disney-owned hotels, the resort has many great amenities including:

Free Airport Transfers with luggage service via Disney’s Magical Express

Free continuous transportation to all four theme parks and Disney Springs

Free wi-fi

Free parking

Resort Airline Check-in, where you can print your boarding passes and check your luggage for the trip home Right At the Hotel

Free merchandise delivery – When you make a purchase in a theme park, you can ship it straight to your resort instead of carrying it around all day!

Access to Extra Magic Hours, when a theme park is open Only to Hotel Guests

Resort campfire activities

Movies Under the Stars

But Beach Club Resort also has one of the best amenities – Stormalong Bay! This 3-acre water park has a huge water slide, a giant pool with currents and a sandy bottom, and its own lazy river with lots of inner tubes. It’s a fabulous way to take a break from the theme parks for a day!

The pool area is also the location of the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, home of the Famous Kitchen Sink (Eight scoops of ice cream, with every topping they have, all served in a replica of a kitchen sink!)

The Kitchen Sink

Other restaurants here include the Cape May Cafe, which hosts a Disney character breakfast and a seafood buffet dinner; and the Yachtsman Steakhouse, which serves the best steak I’ve ever had anywhere on Disney’s property!

One of my favorite things is to plan a nice dinner for me and my husband at the Yachtsman, and let my kids spend the evening at the Sandcastle Club. Kids ages 3-12 are welcome, and they have tons of fun activities like baking and “mad science” experiments. The current price is $55.00 for the whole evening, and it includes all the activities plus dinner and a snack! When I arrived to pick up my kids at 9:30pm, they begged to stay longer, they were having such a great time!

And if you’d like to enjoy an adult night out at one of Epcot’s many Festivals (Food and Wine, Festival of the Arts, Flower and Gardens), then having Beach Club as your home resort is super convenient and easy!
