Dining experiences are a big part of any vacation to Walt Disney World. There are so many restaurants with different types of cuisine, and lots of different character meals as well.

One of my favorite restaurant experiences is The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. This is a Table Service buffet, and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It features the characters from Winnie the Pooh: Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.

Characters at the Crystal Palace

During your meal, each character will stop at your table to sign autographs and pose for pictures. Hint: seat your children (or other family members who want to be in the photos) near the aisle, and sit across from them for the best vantage point!

Tigger and friends

It takes roughly 45-50 minutes for the characters to rotate all the way through the restaurant, so if you need to rush your meal, you may miss one of them.

They also invite children to join them in a small parade around the restaurant during your meal, which is really cute!

The meal itself is All-You-Care-To-Enjoy, and it features what I would call standard American food. There’s also a children’s area of the buffet with kid-friendly foods like chicken nuggets and macaroni, but adults and children are all welcome to fill their plates from any of the different dishes that are offered.

Here are some sample items from the breakfast menu:

Fruit, assorted cereals, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, omelette station, pastries, potatoes, pancakes or waffles.

The lunch and dinner menu includes:

Salad bar, carved meats, fish and vegetable dishes, pasta, soup, breads, and dessert selections with ice cream.

Reservations are recommended, and this restaurant requires One Table Service Meal Credit on the Disney Dining Plan. You can reserve your spot here 180 days before you travel to Walt Disney World.
