Disney’s Pop Century is a value resort located in ESPN Wide World of Sports Area. This value resort opened in December 2003 and is themed around icons from decades of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Oversized icons from Mickey, Mr. Potato Head, Mobley, Extra-large bowling pins, and many more are located throughout the resort. The resort is divide into two categories; standard and preferred rooms. Preferred rooms being closest to the food court and transportation area. The resort does have bus service to all of Disney’s theme parks and Downtown Disney. Bus services runs continually throughout the day coming to the resort about every 20 minutes.

The rooms in Disney’s Pop Century have two double beds or a standard King. You need to make a special request for a King room when making your reservation. Each room has a table with two chairs, one night stand, and dresser with a flat screen TV, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom has a vanity with single sink separated from the toilet and shower. There is a hair dryer and you are provided with travel size shampoo/conditioner and soaps. Housekeeping service is provided daily. The rooms are Mickey themed with Mickey comforters and carpeting.

Disney’s Pop Century has three heated pools: Hippy Dippy, Bowling, and the Computer pool. Lifeguards are stationed at each pool and life jackets are available free of charge. Everyday family friendly activities are offered at the Hippy Dippy pool. Activities range from water games, trivia, bingo, etc. Each day at 3:00pm is the Hippy Dippy Pool Party, be sure not to miss out on the party. There is also a tattoo station and hair braiding station poolside. Each night Movies Under the Stars is offered at the Hippy Dippy pool deck. Disney movies are played nightly at 8:30pm. You will receive a recreational calendar in your check in welcome package.

The lobby at Disney’s Pop Century is filled with fun things to do. You can find daily pin trading, Fast Forward Arcade, and Everything Pop Shopping & Dining. There is a daily Lobby tour at 3:00pm. The tour is the Pop Century Shadow Box Tour showcasing the decades of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s & 90’s.
