Halloween time is the perfect time to plan a visit to Disneyland, CA. The park is transformed into a magical world filled with pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and so many amazing special effects and imagination. Every corner you turn you will find a unique decoration, character, or tasty treat all Halloween themed, so pay close attention or else you may miss something spectacular. When walking along Main Street make sure to check out the Pumpkin Festival. You must check out all the carved pumpkins, you will not see one that looks like another.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party, which is a separate event held at Disneyland where the park closes early and you will need to purchase a special event ticket for is also an absolute must see! At Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party the fun is absolutely endless from dancing, listening to music, and eating!! You may even get a chance to take a picture with your favorite character during this event. When you purchase a Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party ticket you are able to enter Disneyland Park up to 3 hours before the event starts. These tickets tend to sell out quickly so it is always best to plan ahead if possible! This event is catered to entertain kids and families of all ages.

When you visit Disneyland during the month of October you will see that even the most popular rides are updated to go with the Halloween theme. Be on the lookout especially when riding on Space Mountain, you may see a ghost or two with some special effects and music to go with. Another must stop is the Haunted Mansion if often changes to the Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. To see this transformation in person is truly is mesmerizing! Keep your eyes open or you just might miss a visit from some jack-o-lantern friends. You may need to ride this ride over and over to make sure you don’t miss anything.

Another highlight about visiting Disneyland during the month of October is the electrifying Halloween scream fireworks display! It is completely themed for Halloween and starts in September ending on Halloween. You also must sign up to do Disney’s Happiest Hunts Tour! This is a special tour where you can see behind-the-scenes, visit all the holiday attractions, and you will also get reserved seating for the Halloween scream fireworks show!
