I was so excited to receive my #DisneySide party kit which was a great American Tourister Suitcase stuffed full of lots of fun Disney goodies including party decorations, napkins, and more. I knew exactly what kind of party I wanted to throw too – a Disney themed Bunco party!

DisneySideBuncoNight

Bunco is a fun dice game and rules can vary depending on where you live or the makeup of your group (Google to find rules that appeal most to you). My group is very laid back and was super excited to join in on the Disney fun. I find that themed Bunco nights are a great way to introduce your group to the game and Disney theming makes everything better!

To start, I created a Disney themed score sheet and found some Mickey dice online. My daughters then found every Disney stuffed animal in our house and arrange them around the living room, bathroom and kitchen. They kept all of the animals with the other characters from their movies and a few of the displays they created were very clever! My favorites included Crush and Bruce next to our goldfish, Nemo and Inky in the bathroom, and Maximus, Angus and Sven in “stables”.

I decorated the house with items from the kit, got out all of our Disney cups and Mickey hats. I asked everyone to bring their favorite ear hats, if they had them, and we ended up with quite a few to choose from!

You've Got Ears

Once the house was prepared, we focused on the second most important part of any Bunco night – the food! The #DisneySide kit came with super cute Mickey cupcake wrappers so I made some yummy cupcakes and tried to channel my inner “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” when decorating them. There were also Mickey shaped cookie cutters in the kit. Instead of cookies – I decided to make Mickey shaped Rice Krispie treats! This is a must-have snack for us when we visit the parks, so I considered it a must-have treat at my party!!

The party was great and everyone really enjoyed showing their #DisneySide! I LOVE this fruit tray that my good friend’s 9-year-old daughter made for us.

The night ended with a group photo, as always, but like any good Disney trip, I had a few surprises. The hostess gift included a few copies of a great Mickey and Minnie print. I gave away two to the night’s two lucky winners!
