This year for our family Spring Break vacation we traveled to New York City. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria which is located in midtown. The hotel is located just blocks from Rockefeller Center, Time Square, 5th avenue shopping, and several popular New York sites. The Waldorf Astoria is one of New York’s luxury historical hotels and takes up and entire city block. I was struck by the beauty of this hotel. We stayed in a luxury guest room which had a sitting area, king size bed, pull out sofa bed, two closets, marble bathroom, a terrace, and a kitchenette. We absolutely loved staying the Waldorf Astoria. The staff provided superior services and the location is just perfect.

During our five day stay we tried to fit as much in as possible. We purchased a City Pass which is a coupon book to the top attractions in New York City. I purchased the pass online, but you are able to purchase the pass at any of the attractions. The pass saves approximately 40% verses purchasing the attractions tickets individually. Another awesome benefit of purchasing the City Pass is your get to skip the long lines to at the attractions. Our City Pass gave us access to The Empire State Building, The Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, American Museum of Natural History, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, and 9/11 Memorial and Museum. I was so happy that we purchased the City Pass. The lines we were long at all the attractions and we got to bypass them. We did visit all of the attractions available with our City Pass. We had such a great time visiting all the top attractions. We also spent in Time Square, Central Park, Battery Park, The Plaza Hotel, Little Italy, China Town, Rockefeller Center, and window shopping on Fifth Avenue.

Getting around in the city you do a lot of walking! We walked on average seven miles a day. We took taxis and we took the subway when we traveled downtown.

We really enjoyed all the dining options in New York City. There are endless options of Diners, Bakeries, Coffee Shops, Pizza places, upscale dining, and so much more! There is every type of food cuisines you can imagine.

We really enjoyed all the places we dined at. Some of our favorites were: Tavern on the Green, John’s of Time Square, Junior’s Restaurant, El Centro, and Magnolia’s Bakery. We did visit Tom’s Restaurant which is famous for being in the TV show Seinfeld.
