Little Details at the Disneyland Resort

One major difference between Disneyland and other amusement parks is the huge amount of detail put into the smallest of details. When creating Disneyland, Walt wanted a place that took you out of your everyday world and made everything you saw take you back to a specific place and time, and with his team’s help, he ensured that he got every magical detail right. And the most amazing part of all of these efforts is that, unless you’re looking closely, you will miss most of them. Upon entering the park, you can’t miss the giant Mickey face in the flower [...]

I have a five-year-old son, so the first ride we run to when rope drops at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is Peter Pan’s Flight. If you’ve never been, this ride is located in Fantasyland across from It’s A Small World, and it is very different from traditional rides at Disney World. The ride track is above your head and you fly in a pirate ship looking down at all the popular scenes from the Peter Pan movie. Everyone loves this ride, especially the thousands of guests with you at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. On busy days, wait times for Peter [...]

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World you probably know one of the hardest dining reservations to get is at the new Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. These reservations often disappear within the first few minutes of the system opening 180 days in advance. But, never fear – there is another option! Lunch at Be Our Guest is considered “upscale counter service” and does not require a reservation. In fact, reservations aren’t taken for lunch. The restaurant is part of a beta test for FastPasses for meals and select guests do receive [...]
