One of the most exciting things on the first day of a Disney cruise is the Sailing Away Deck party. We recently sailed on the Disney Dream and we were exited to attend the party on deck. The Sailing Away party is held after the mandatory life boat drill. After the drill we started to make our way to deck 11 for the party when it started to rain. We were so disappointed until the crew members told us not to worry the party would be held in the main lobby on deck 3. We made our way to deck 3 and the party was in full swing.
The party was a truly spectacular experience! My family enjoyed how interactive the crew members were. Live music was playing and crew members were teaching the crowd dance moves. The crowd was singing and dancing along to the music.
Captain Mikey and Minnie made a special appearance along with our other favorite characters. The other characters that were at the party were; Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Chip, Dale, and Goofy. It was so much fun to sing and dance with our favorite characters! The crew members continuously encouraged guests to keep singing and dancing. The sailing away party is so much fun and it is a definite must do to start off your cruise. Rain or shine Disney cruise line will make the party happen!
