2015-05-29T06:00:00-04:00May 29, 2015|Disney Travel|1 Comment

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is an African themed deluxe resort. Its major appeal is the opportunity for guests to view wildlife grazing outside their rooms and public areas, BUT this resort is so much more. It offers so many resort activities that you COULD and SHOULD spend a day of your Disney vacation just taking advantage of these awesome “extras.” This list is not exhaustive of all the fun, BUT it does contain what I would call my Animal Kingdom Lodge Bucket List. 1. Cultural Tour of Sanaa. Sanaa is a table service restaurant located in the Kidani section of [...]

Walt Disney World – Not Just Any Theme Park

2015-05-22T06:00:00-04:00May 22, 2015|Disney World|0 Comments

We all love theme parks – the rides and food and time spent with friends and family. But Walt Disney World is special. It’s so much more than just roller coasters and funnel cakes. While you can find both in its 40 square miles there are a few things you may not know about this magical place…. Magic Kingdom: You won’t find anyone walking around taking out the trash. Pipes shoot the trash through the utilidors under the Magic Kingdom at 60 mph. Speaking of trash check out the trash cans. They are themed to the different areas of each [...]

The most fun you never knew you were going to have!

2015-05-20T06:00:00-04:00May 20, 2015|Travel Destinations|0 Comments

On our recent NCL Jewel cruise to Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel, we decided to book the Gumbalimba Animal Sanctuary excursion through NCL. We weren’t sure what to expect, but the reviews were good, so we took our chances and this excursion ended up being the highlight of our cruise! Our meeting time for the excursion was not until 11:45. We left the ship early to explore the shopping area at the port. There were plenty of shops to choose from including Diamonds International, a Duty Free store, and a Harley-Davidson store, as well as many local craftsmen and artists. Our [...]

Disney Springs Photos

2015-05-08T06:00:00-04:00May 8, 2015|Downtown Disney|0 Comments

I have mentioned in a past post that Downtown Disney is being given a makeover and a new name, Disney Springs. When I visited Walt Disney World in February, I got a chance to take a look at some of the new construction, and I can’t wait to see the final product! Some of the things discussed in this post have been around for a few months or up to a year, but since I had not been to Disney in a year they were new to me. First up is the walkway or causeway going over the water. This [...]
