Have you heard the news?? SkyPark Santa’s Village is now open!! Yes, that is correct Santa’s Village located in Lake Arrowhead, California has finally reopened after 20 long years of waiting. Phase 1 is currently up and running, and everyone is anxiously awaiting the next stages to be complete. SkyPark at Santa’s Village is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm (closed on most holidays). Every guest must sign a waiver electronically before they can enter the park you can do this online or at the park entrance. Children 3 years of age and under are no charge, ages 4 – 12 are $49, ages 13 – 59 are $59, ages 60 – 79 $49, and for anyone aged 80 and above can get in for free. Groups are welcome, and for groups of 12 or more, you will receive a 10% discount. Fun fact did you know that the original Santa’s Village first opened on May 28, 1955?

You must stop by Santa’s House and the North Pole first. Here you will get the chance to meet Santa in person as well as see his incredibly Christmas Tree. You will also get an opportunity to meet one of Santa’s elves who would gladly take a picture of you and your family with Santa or who can direct to many amazing things to do at this amusement park. Next check out Silver Bells Ice Skating Pond where you can glide on the ice on this boutique skating rink, situated in an Alpine setting.   On certain days, you can also see or be part of live entertainment interactive Christmas shows, special engagements all performed by Santa’s Village talented performers. Another must stop Arrow’s Adventure Pedal Cars and if weather permits you must check out Frozen Falls Climbing Tower where you can discover the North Pole by climbing a towering berg of ice.

One of the best of and most fun things to do while visiting SkyPark is the train ride, Polar Express. Here you will ride through the “Frostbite Tunnel” and around the “Silver Bells Ice Skating Pond.” You will also get to meet your train conductor and take a picture if you want.   If you are looking for something to do indoors, then check out the Magic Tree Bouldering Room, an indoor cave climbing experience for all ages and skill levels. You also must stop by Santa’s Workshop and North Pole Post Office and create you very own Christmas ornament or write a letter to Santa. Another fun place to check out is Santa’s Village Mining Co.   One last stop is the Strider Balance Bike Trail where you can learn to ride on a “Strider Balance bike.” A Strider Bike is a very simple bike designed to teach young children how to steer and balance on two wheels without pedals.

Gingerbread House is a must stop not only because of the alluring aroma you smell the minute you walk onto the grounds of this incredible theme park. Inside you will find homemade goodies from lemon bars, snickerdoodle cookies, cinnamon rolls, and of course gingerbread. You can also get hot chocolate or apple cider here, and both are delicious! Another must stop is St. Nick’s Patio & Grille here you will find handcrafter burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The Club Sandwich was mouthwatering and you will enjoy every bite! If you are in the mood for some adult time, then check out the Pedal Pub. Here you will find an assortment of craft beers in this bike-inspired indoor/outdoor pub. Some more must stop are K’s Kandyshoppe and Ice Creamery where you can get homemade chocolates and confections. Kringle’s Coffee & Gifts you can indulge on crafted coffee and signature cocoa’s. You must try their gingerbread latte it is delicious! If you are more in the mood for shopping, then stop by Sky Trading Co. here you will find unique gifts and nostalgic Santa’s Village Christmas souvenirs. If it is an especially chilly day when you are visiting SkyPark this is also a great place to find hats and scarves to help warm you up. Did you know that Santa’s Village was the first franchised amusement park in the United States with locations in Dundee, IL and Scotts Valley, CA, as well as the original park in Sky forest, CA?

The long-term goal of Santa’s Village is to be open year-round where you can camp, fish, go on walking trails, bike, and so much more. Some things to look forward to in 2017 are The Bumble Bee Monorails, Sky Weddings, Fantasy Forest Trails, SkyPark Mountain Bike Trails, SkyPark Zip line, Hench Meadowlands Conversation Trails, and Fly Fishing. An interest fact about SkyPark is that is 230 acres but only 15 acres are currently being used.
