I recently stayed at Universal’s newest resort, Sapphire Falls. It really brings the Caribbean and a bright, fresh experience to your vacation! And here are my Top 5 Reasons to stay.
- The Lobby is large, open and inviting…
With Charging Stations and plenty of open seating, it’s a great place to meet your family and friends before or after your day at the parks.
- Cheerful, vibrant rooms
I loved the color scheme in the rooms! The crisp white with the bright lime green, royal blue and pink gave you a very cool, relaxing feeling…. like I was on “Island Time.”
- Exciting Dining
3 unique and different ways to dine just a few steps from the entrance of the Resort!
New Dutch Trading Company: This quick service has grab and go sandwiches, a grill, an ice cream bar, wine and great coffee! I really like the convenient hours: 6am – 11pm. It was great for the late-night snack and the early morning coffee before heading to the airport.
Strong Water Tavern: The Strong Water Tavern serves over 60 rums and great tapas for you to enjoy. You can indulge in a Rum Tasting or pick your favorite. Definitely something I will have to do in multiple trips since I couldn’t try all 60 in one night!
Amatista Cookhouse: Divine full service restaurant! Great Caribbean flavor in everything on the menu – even the bread!
Universal really does have beautiful pools! And the Sapphire Falls is no exception with its 16000-square foot water playground! The pool area includes a water slide and 2 beach areas.
There are various activities going on throughout the day around the pool and if that isn’t enough for you, you can play at the arcade or workout in the gym, too!
- Bonus Points
I love that you have a Water Taxi to City Walk
and a really large Universal Store!
Things to Know:
The Sapphire Falls Resort is considered a Preferred Resort in the same category as the Royal Pacific. The rooms are about the same size with the same comfortable beds. The Water Taxi is a big plus and early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal’s Volcano Bay one hour before the park opens is included, also.
**You do not however, receive the Free Universal Express Unlimited passes with your tickets as you do at the Royal Pacific. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful, relaxing, affordable option for your vacation!
