Can a fairy tale really come true? Absolutely! Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend brings women of all ages together to participate in a magical event designed just for them. Inspired by Disney princesses, this race is full of fun, royalty, tiaras, and tutus!
The Princess half marathon weekend will take place February 23rd and 24th, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. There will also be a royal family 5k race, as well as races for the kids. This year is very special, because it marks the five year anniversary of the race, and all finishers will receive a special princess tiara finishers medal. There is plenty of Disney entertainment on the course, not to mention the opportunity to run EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom. You know princesses have to run through the castle!
Individuals running the half marathon will receive:
- Champion® Women’s Short-Sleeved Tech Shirt
- 5th Anniversary Commemorative Finisher medal
- Official Race Program Guide
- A one-year subscription to REDBOOK
- iGift bag
- Personalized bib
- On-course and post-race refreshments
- ChronoTrack B-tag timed race with live runner tracking sign up for friends and family
- Personalized results website
Be sure not to miss out on other great happenings that weekend such as the Pasta in the Park party, the Fit for a Princess health and fitness expo, and of course visiting the theme parks. It’s too late to sign up for this year’s event, but be on the lookout for information about registration for the 2014 event, you won’t want to miss it!
