On our recent trip to Walt Disney World we used Disney’s Memory Maker (formerly PhotoPass Plus) photo package and found it to be easy to use, fun and very much worth the money. In fact, I can’t imagine another Walt Disney World vacation without adding this feature to my package. Memory Maker includes unlimited digital downloads of all pictures taken by Disney’s PhotoPass photographers during you trip. It also includes unlimited downloads of attraction photos (attraction photos are offered on select attractions at all four theme parks) and photo packages offered at select character meals.
The advanced purchase price is $149 plus tax. If you wait to purchase Memory Maker until you arrive at Walt Disney World the price is $199 plus tax.
Memory Maker can be added on to your package when you book your trip or any time after booking until check in day to take advantage of the special pre-purchase price. Just be aware that you should add it at least 3 days prior to your arrival as photos taken within 3 days of purchasing Memory Maker in advance of your trip will not be included.
Once purchased, Memory Maker will be added to your MagicBands or you will be given a photo card if you are not using MagicBands. Your Memory Maker account applies to photos taken during the length of your trip.
Disney PhotoPass photographers are located throughout Disney parks and Downtown Disney. They are also located at Disney’s water parks from May through September. You’ll find the photographers at iconic positions and main entrances at the theme parks as well as many character meet and greets.
When you come across a location with a Disney PhotoPass photographer simply have the photographer scan your magic band or card and you are all set – take as many pictures with that photographer that you’d like. They will be loaded onto your Memory Maker account which you can view online at any time.
Make sure to ask for “magic” to be added to your photos – you never know who will pop up in your picture!
Select attractions include photo opportunities as well. Have fun with these – all are included in your Memory Maker so each time you ride you’ll have a different keepsake. Simply stop by the photo shop on your way out of the attraction and have your photo added to your Memory Maker account.
You have 45 days from the date of your first picture to download your photos. You may personalize your photos with fun banners, effects and text. Once you have edited your pictures you may download all of them and share with family and friends as well as print the photos. The downloads are yours to use as you’d like.
We returned home with over 150 pictures from our trip on our Memory Maker account but the sky is the limit the number of photos you may take on your trip. We had fun editing and adding to the photos and now have a wonderful assortment of pictures, taken by Disney photographers, that will forever be a reminder of our magical trip.
Don’t forget to add the Memory Maker in advance so you can save $50 on the purchase price! My name is Susan Heidenrich and I am a travel professional with Travel with the Magic. We used the memory maker package on our last trip and when I pulled up the photos there were pics in which “magic” could be added but nothing was there. Do you know how I go about adding that to the photos?
