During my recent trip to the Magic Kingdom I dined at The Plaza Restaurant with my daughter. I did make advanced dining reservations through my, My Disney Experience Account. The Plaza Restaurant is located between Tomorrowland and Main Street. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily. The Plaza Restaurants does participates in the Disney Dining Plan and takes one table service credit.
The restaurant is very quaint and the décor goes with the Main Street theme. The walls are mirrored with gold trim, the tables have marble tops, gold light fixtures, and iron chairs. The restaurant has the main dining room and the sunroom. We sat in the sunroom during our visit. The server’s uniforms are old fashion ice cream parlor themed. Our server was very knowledgeable with the menu and provided excellent service.
Depending on where you sit you can get an excellent view of Cinderella’s Castle. The food is American Classics. The value is excellent. This is one of the least expensive table service restaurants on property. The portion sizes are very large and our food was excellent. The menu offers classics such as tuna salad sandwiches, cheeseburgers, grilled Reuben sandwiches, cheese steak sandwiches, and much more.
I ordered the cheese steak sandwich and it was awesome! It is made with shaved beef grilled with onions, red peppers, mushrooms, and white American cheese. It is served on a hoagie roll and comes with a side of fries. My daughter ordered the Angus chuck cheeseburger with was also served with fries.
Dessert at the Plaza Restaurant is a must! The ice cream comes from the ice cream parlor next store. They are famous for The Plaza Restaurant Sundae and their Creamy Hand-Dipped Milk Shakes. My daughter and I both ordered The Plaza Sundae. You can customize your Sundae with the different toppings offered. The toppings include; hot fudge, strawberry sauce, crushed pineapples, whipped cream, chopped nuts, and a cherry. We really enjoyed our dinner and dessert!
