Cafe Orleans at Disneyland Park

by admin on December 3, 2014

Located in the heart of New Orleans Square, Cafe Orleans serves up delicious creole-cajun cuisine with a charming atmosphere. Home to the famous Monte Cristo sandwich, this picturesque restaurant offers scrumptious entrees and beautiful vistas.

Cafe Orleans is a great alternative to the Blue Bayou. It is easier to get a reservation and comes at a cheaper price. While Cafe Orleans doesn’t offer views of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, guests can view a much larger ship – the Sailing Ship Colombia! Princess Tiana also makes appearances in New Orleans, so you may catch a glimpse of her walking by as you enjoy your meal.

The Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans are the only places in Disneyland where you can get the famous Monte Cristo sandwich. Deep – fried and served with a berry puree, you will feel like you are in heaven. The crepes are also a Disney classic! The menu offers food geared more toward adults, though there are a few options for children, including macaroni and spaghetti.

One of my personal favorites is the Pommes Frites. Golden, crispy, and flavorful are the words that immediately spring to mind when I think of ordering them. The dipping sauce is zesty and flavorful as well. Order a basket for the table, there will definitely be more than enough!

You absolutely must save room for dessert. The famous beignets have earned their reputation for a reason. If it is your birthday, be sure to proudly display your birthday button and they just may bring you some as a special treat!
