The Frozen Summer Fun celebration has been taking place since June at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and includes many extra Frozen activities and events. In addition to these everyday happenings you can also purchase the Frozen Summer Fun Premium Package for $69 per adult or $39 for children 3 – 9.
This trio package may initially seem a little steep, but actually packs a lot of value and includes the following:
1. Frozen Royal Welcome Viewing – Enjoy a shaded location on Hollywood Blvd to watch all your favorite characters in this enchanting ceremony complete with refreshments.
2. For The First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along – With the best seats in the house, sing-along to your favorite songs in this live shortened version
3. Reserved viewing of the Frozen fireworks with dessert party – Drinks, desserts and fireworks – oh my – I will fully admit this was my favorite part of the day, but I’ll give more details later!
While the first two items may not seem like a big deal they really made a difference in our day and the attitude we had at the end of it. Remember its summertime and HOT and while others staked out their parade viewing spot in the blazing sun hours in advance we leisurely walked into the shaded, roped off area about 30 minutes prior to enjoy the selection of ice cream novelties and Coke products while we waited. Disney also had a photopass photographer coming by to be sure all the kids had their picture taken with a special frame. It was a similar situation at the Hyperion Theater where upon arrival we were immediately escorted into the theater for the best seats in the house and air conditioning all before everyone else was allowed in. Both of my kids were amazed at how close our seats were and my husband and I were grateful for the comfortable seat and AC!
Now for the finale and my favorite part DESSERT and just like Anna “I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face!!” The party starts at 8:15 pm giving you plenty of time to enjoy everything before the show and fireworks at 9:30 pm. There were two different tables for you to indulge in numerous desserts plus a cart serving snow cones as well as more ice cream. Additionally there was also a large selection of drinks and your package also includes a few specialty cocktails too for those over 21 years of age. While we waited they also had tables with coloring sheets for the kids to enjoy all the while dancing to DJ Chill. While I loved the location of the dessert party due to the proximity of the stage, some may argue better viewing spots a little further back towards the park entrance since the fireworks surround you. As I said I was in no way disappointed in the view! As for the fireworks, the name speaks for itself “Frozen Fireworks Spectacular” and that’s exactly what it was! I’ve seen a lot of fireworks in my life, but those were just awesome! If you haven’t seen them, make an effort to go because they are completely worth the effort even the thought of hearing ‘Let It Go’ one more time makes you want to scream. Yes, they are really that good!!
As of now this package and the Frozen Summer Fun is scheduled to melt away September 7, however in 2014 it was extended through September 28 so keep an eye out if your travel dates are into September.
