I grew up watching Disney films; Pocahontas and Snow White were my favorites. When I was 10 years old, my family and I made our first trip to Walt Disney World to celebrate 2000! I fell in love with the magic and the characters. Disney became my favorite vacation spot at that point. It was a part of me.

In 2013, my now husband and I traveled to Walt Disney World on what would be his first trip. He proposed on that trip, right in front of Cinderella’s Castle just before the fireworks. It was the most magical moment – a moment that I will cherish forever. From then on, Disney became a special place in *our* life. It had become a part of us as a couple. I walked down the aisle to a dream is a wish your heart makes, and I wore glass slippers with my wedding dress. It was truly a dream come true.
In 2015, we went on our anniversary trip and found out that I was expecting our son just 6 weeks before the trip. I’m sure you can guess that we used the magic of Disney and Mickey Mouse to help share our news with our families and friends.
And now, we have two beautiful children growing up Disney kids, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Just when we thought we couldn’t love Disney more, we are getting to watch it through the eyes of our children! I’ll cherish the memories of watching our son get his first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop and him at age 2 kiss each character on the nose and hug them so tight!!
Disney is our home away from home. It is the most amazing place, the happiest place. Happy 50th Birthday, Walt Disney World!
