Excitement is building at Travel with the Magic as four of our agents prepare for a journey to a galaxy far, far away. We will be boarding the Halcyon Starcruiser next week for a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. The Starcruiser is unlike anything Disney has created before, so we want to share insights with you.

– Consider a pre-stay at a Walt Disney World Resort. Arrival for the Starcruiser begins at 1 pm. You will want to be there as early as possible to make the most of your voyage. You don’t want to risk a flight or traffic delay impacting your arrival. Travel between a Disney Resort hotel and the Starcruiser Terminal is part of your package. Valet parking is included for guests driving themselves to the terminal.

– Decide on activities for your planet excursion. You will have a day to visit Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. Starcruiser specialists will assist your travel planner with making reservations at Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Workshop (lightsabers), and Droid Depot. If you will visit Batuu again, consider skipping some activities. There will be missions to complete on Batuu, but you won’t want to miss too much on the ship.

– Decide on any additional activities you might like to add to your booking.

  1. Captain’s Table – Enjoy an elevated experience at dinner with extra courses and a central location. $30 per person for one night ($50 per person beginning January 1, 2023)
  2. CSL Portrait Experience – Schedule a 30-minute session with Disney PhotoPass photographers to capture your galactic look on board. Downloads of select images included.
  3. Image Design – Ready to dive into character? Guests 7 and up can schedule a 30-minute makeover. An image designer will come to your cabin and transform you into an alien species.
– Once you determine a voyage date, you will need to provide the following information to your travel planner:
  1. Number of people in your party, plus their names, ages, addresses, and phone numbers
  2. Preference for first or second dinner seating and if you would like to request the Captain’s Table
  3. Desired dates for Disney Resort reservations before or after your voyage
  4. If you are within 60 days of departure, you should be ready to book additional activities for your planet excursion and on board.
– Download both the My Disney Experience and Play Disney apps. You will need both of these apps for your experience. Each person in your party will need a smart device. The Play Disney app becomes your datapad. If you are traveling with younger voyagers who cannot read, they will need an adult to assist them. Pack those portable chargers to ensure your data pad remains fully charged throughout the day.
– Plan your wardrobe. There are a lot of options. Halcyon guests receive access to exclusive items on shopDisney.com to order clothing before their voyage. You can also shop these items on board at the Chandrila Collection. Feel free to get creative! There are suggestions online for outfits to wear on the Starcruiser or for a visit to Batuu. Think layers, earth tones, and texture. Our agents are combing their wardrobes and some local thrift stores to start. Dressing the part is not mandatory, but it may help you feel more like a part of the story. Please also note that there are restrictions, so you will want to review the guidelines.

– Check your data pad before departure. You’ll be able to review your daily schedule, familiarize yourself with the ship’s layout, learn some basic phrases in Anzellan, gather information on your visit to Black Spire Outpost, and more. Additional Datapad features will unlock upon embarkation.

– Consider where your loyalties may lie. Are you an ardent supporter of the Resistance? Do you long to be part of the First Order? Maybe your Force sensitivity will guide you. Or can your loyalty be bought for the right price? Some guests enjoy developing a back story before arriving on board the Halcyon.
– Do you need a refresher on the characters and worlds of Star Wars? We recommend watching Episodes I – IX if you have not already. We also love Rogue One. However, if there are time constraints, watch The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi or some of the Star Wars Resistance animated series. These will put you in the right part of the timeline for the Galactic Starcruiser and Galaxy’s Edge!
