Back in February, my husband and I ate at one of Disney’s newest restaurants, Trattoria al Forno. This restaurant is located on the Boardwalk, near the Flying Fish Café.
We walked into the beautifully decorated lobby and waited as our name was called.
This restaurant serves Italian food, and the theming went right along with the menu.
We were quickly greeted and brought our drinks and some delicious bread. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, and made some suggestions for us.
She told us that the menus were temporary, and that they were supposed to be getting iPads to order with and show photos of the food in the near future. I was not able to confirm or deny this rumor with Disney later on. I ordered a delicious drink, and we waited for our food.
I ordered the lasagna, and Bobby ordered the lamb shank.
My food was delicious. Bobby claimed his was just ok, not amazing but not bad. It did not take long at all for the food to come out, either. We opted not to get dessert, because we were so full and had plans to walk around EPCOT after dinner, but the dessert menu sounded delicious.
Overall, it was a very pleasant meal and I would definitely return here. It was very relaxing, and the location of the restaurant is very convenient and lends itself to spending the evening at the Boardwalk or even EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I am so glad they chose to add another delicious option such as this outside the theme parks so anyone can enjoy it, even if they aren’t visiting the theme parks.
