Happy New Year! It’s a great time to try new things on your next Disney Vacation. We all have our favorite resorts, rides and restaurants. Disney World has so much to offer, why not try something new?
Let’s get started…
Resolution #1: Go to Disney this year!
In order to keep on track with your Disney resolutions, you need to plan your next trip. You may think it’s out of reach to go. However, with three levels of resort accommodations – Value, Moderate and Deluxe – there is a place to stay that can meet everyone’s budget. Make this the year you go for the first time or go again because it’s been way too long. In case you are wondering, a few months counts as way too long!
Resolution #2: Stay someplace new!
Where is your favorite resort to stay? Our family loves Port Orleans Riverside. It’s a great moderate resort that accommodates a family of 5. On our last trip, we decided to try a Deluxe Resort, Beach Club, and we fell in love! The convenience of being within walking distance to Epcot and a short boat ride or 20 minute walk to Hollywood Studios, made this resort very enjoyable. The pool area is amazing! The lazy river, sand-bottomed pool and shipwreck water slide were highlights of staying at this Deluxe Resort. While we still love Port Orleans Riverside, trying something new was great and gave us a completely different experience at Disney.
Resolution #3: Try a new ride or attraction!
How about venturing out and trying a new ride or attraction that you haven’t had the chance to experience? I had the opportunity to do just that on my last trip and found there was so much I had been missing out on. While I still have my favorites at each park such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story Mania, Test Track and Kilimanjaro Safaris, it was fun to see what else Disney parks have to offer. A few suggestions of things to try, if you haven’t had the chance, would be Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios, Innoventions at Epcot and Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom.
Resolution #4: Dine at a new restaurant!
If you are like me, I find my favorite restaurants and entrees, then stick to ordering that one dish every time I’m there. I decided to branch out and try some new restaurants. Be Our Guest is one of my favorites. Dinner can be a challenging reservation to get your hands on. Why not try breakfast or lunch? You get to enjoy the atmosphere, just with a different perspective. If you like Asian cuisine, you should try Yak & Yeti. This is a new favorite of mine that I had overlooked in the past. I’m so glad I decided to try something new because this has gone to the top of my Disney dining list. Another great way to be successful with this resolution, is try a new country to dine in when you are at Epcot. There are so many to choose from, you can’t go wrong.
Resolution #5: Use a Travel with the Magic agent for your next vacation!…That’s me!
I’ve been asked, “Why should I use an agent?” and “Does it cost more?”. There are no additional costs to using an agent, my services are FREE! There are so many benefits to using a travel agent. My services include itinerary planning, dining, tour & FastPass+ reservations, discount monitoring and so much more! You have the advantage of using one person to assist you along the way and won’t need to spend time on the phone with a different agent every time you have a question.
