Are you looking for a Broadway quality show that your entire family will enjoy, then you must go and watch one of the newest Disney shows, Frozen – Live at the Hyperion? This show located at Disney’s California Adventure Park in Hollywood Land. It is a one-hour performance that brings Disney’s animated film while staying true to the original animated movie. This remarkable theatrical interpretation of Disney’s award winning film Frozen brings Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf to life on stage. Frozen – Live at the Hyperion is mesmerizing and worth taking the time to watch this show. Not to mention is an excellent way to relax in the air conditioning on the super-hot days and a chance to give everyone a break in comfortable seating.
If you are looking to have the ultimate experience then doing the Frozen Dining package is an absolute must! You will feel just like royalty eating a 3-course feast at Carthay Circle Restaurant and get priority seating for the show. Once you arrive at Carthay circle make sure to check in and once seated, you will get to enjoy the starting duo of soup and salad. Then you will get to choose from 3 main dishes such as herb-crusted petite filet of Angus beef with Point Reyes blue cheese risotto, spinach, and wild mushrooms. There is even a kids menu that features soup and salad and a wide selection of Mickey specialty meals such as mini crispy tacos, orecchiette pasta tossed with tomato sauce, and grilled petit beef filet. Make sure to save room for dessert! Carthay Circle desserts are the best sweets available! If you have never eaten at Carthay Circle Restaurant you are truly in for a treat their food is top notch with service to match! Carthay Circle is an iconic eatery modeled after the theater where Walt Disney’s animated classic, Snow White, and the Seven Dwarfs, debuted in 1937. Prices are around $89 per adults and $59 for children ages 3 – 9 (no charge for children under 3).
Admission to Disney California Adventure Park is required and not included in the price of the dining package. Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Also, there is a credit card guarantee required at time of booking. If you need to cancel, you must do it within 24 hours before your reservation otherwise you will be charged a $10 per person cancellation fee. When you arrive at Disney California Adventure Park, you check in at Carthay Circle Restaurant a few minutes before your reservation time. Unfortunately, at this time there are no annual pass holder discounts for this package. Please note prices, food options, are subject to change at any time. If you are going to Disneyland first, but also wanted to see this show you must purchase a park hopper ticket to be able to enter Disney’s California Adventure Park too.
If you do not want to do a Frozen Dining package make sure you pick up a fast pass and do it when you first arrive at the park to guarantee seats to this fascinating show. It will significantly minimize your time that you would otherwise have to spend standing in line before show start times. Fast passes can be found at machines to the left of the theater and are on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately, you do not get to choose which show time you will get to go to you will be assigned a show time. There are also food options sold outside the theater as well as inside before the show starts. Food is allowed in the theater to enjoy while you watch the show. There are no bad seats in this theater so do not stress if you are at the end of the line. The theater was well designed this in mind. The Hyperion Theater has three seating area options Mezzanine, Orchestra, and the Balcony. The only section that I try to avoid is the second row in the Mezzanine area only because there is a railing so it may limit your view for portions of the show. Make sure to get a snowflake pass from a cast member if you have to leave for any reason otherwise you will not be allowed back in. This theater also has accommodations for wheelchairs and electronic scooters.
Frozen – Live at the Hyperion is one of the best shows I have ever seen at Disney’s California Adventure Park or anywhere. It is not only Broadway quality, but is a show all ages can and will enjoy!
