PaintTheNight

Disneyland has 2 amazing ways to splurge on dining and get Preferred Viewing for the Paint The Night Parade!

You can dine at Blue Bayou or Aladdin’s Oasis. Blue Bayou is a nice sit down restaurant in New Orleans Square; and Aladdin’s Oasis is small café located in Adventureland. At Aladdin’s Oasis, the Paint the Night special is an On-the-Go package which you can dine in or take it with you!

The Rules for the Package are Simple:

  • One Paint the Night preferred viewing area voucher per Dining Package purchased.
  • Each person in the party must purchase a Dining Package in order to obtain a voucher.
  • Vouchers are valid only for the designated show time on the same day as the dining experience.

I decided to go with Aladdin’s Oasis because I didn’t want a heavy meal during lunch.

My Dining Options were

-Roasted Chicken Breast

– Lasagna Bolognese

-Vegetarian Lasagna

With the Children menu of

-Grilled Chicken

-Spaghetti

-Macaroni and Cheese

I chose Vegetarian Lasagna and the portions were perfect and delicious!

I also chose to sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere. You leave the noisy Adventureland behind and eat your meal in a peaceful courtyard. Very enjoyable!

All that was left, was for me to enjoy the rest of the day and return to the Preferred Viewing area 30 minutes before the Parade.

The Preferred Viewing is standing room only. If you are facing It’s A Small World, it will be the stage area to your right by the pond. And since this parade is very popular, it was great to have reserved viewing at the start of the parade.

And you will not be disappointed!

I really loved the viewing area! Perfect spot! However, it is in the back of the park and if you want to make your way to the Castle for the Fireworks immediately after, you might get stuck. You have to remember that while you enjoyed preferred viewing for the Parade, others were grabbing the great spots for the Fireworks!

Overall, I would choose the Paint The Night Dining Package again. It gave me extra time to enjoy the park when I would be otherwise sitting on the street saving that perfect spot.
