Carnival Cruise Lines has an onboard kids program named Camp Carnival. Camp Carnival has so many different activities to offer. Camp Carnival is divided into three different age groups: 2 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years, and 9 to 11 years. Circle C is for kids 12-14. The Youth staff is highly trained and are always making sure the kids are having a blast. You can pre-register your child before you sail on your manage my cruise account. You are able to list any special needs or other concerns you have for your child. Once onboard you can also register your child in Camp Carnival while onboard. My daughter has special needs and the youth staff was well trained dealing with special needs. I felt well assured my daughter was in good hands. The staff issued me a wave cell phone in case they needed to call me and I could also call to check in.
Each day you receive an activity schedule for Camp C. The hours of operation do change depending on sea days or port days. Sea days typical hours were from 8:00am to 10:00pm. Camp Night Owls is from 10:00pm to 1:00am for a fee. The fee while we were on the Carnival Breeze was $6.75 per hour plus 15% gratuity. Port days Camp Carnival usually opened at 6:45 am depending on what time we arrived at port.
My daughter was in the 9-11 group. There were so many different activities to keep the kids busy and entertained. The cruise activities ranged from scavenger hunts, mummy wrap challenge, mini talent shows, art projects, face painting, Wii challenges, sand blast, and so much more! Each night was a themed party. Rock Star night was my daughter’s favorite night. My daughter loved Camp Carnival! I had to beg her to spend time with us before going into Camp Carnival. It was such a wonderful experience for her. If you and your family are considering a Carnival cruise you will definitely have to check out Camp Carnival! Let me help you plan your next vacation.
