Did you know that each deluxe level resort at Walt Disney World offers the option of staying “Club Level”? Club level is Disney speak for concierge level and is a nice way to enhance your vacation.

While each deluxe resort’s club level varies in theme, most offer the same level of service with a dedicated concierge staff, continental breakfast, mid-day snacks, heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the evening and desserts and after dinner drinks before bed.

Club Level at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

One of my favorite club level experiences can be found at the Polynesian Village Resort. Here, the club level is called the King Kamehameha Club.

When you arrive at the Polynesian Village Resort you will be greeted in the front of the resort and escorted to the Hawaii long house. This long house is where all club level rooms are located with the exception of suites which are located in the Tonga long house. You can’t beat the location of Hawaii – right next to the beach and main feature pool and a short distance from the Great Ceremonial House where you’ll find the shops, restaurants and monorail stop. The bus stop is also just a short walk down a pathway.

Outside of Club Lounge

The Hawaii long house is accessible by MagicBand (only club level guests are allowed in this building). On the first floor you’ll find your dedicated concierge Cast Members. This is where you will check in. It’s a much more personal check in setting and you may enjoy fresh juices and coffee while your Cast Member answers any questions you may have about your vacation. The concierge is available each day from 7 am to 10 pm to help with dining reservations, special celebrations, itinerary planning – anything you might need during your stay.

Club Lounge Inside

Rooms here are the same as what you will find throughout the rest of the resort with a few special touches – nightly turn down service, chocolates, robes, and a DVD player. It’s customary to receive a nice box of chocolates on your first night with a personal welcome note. Garden view, lagoon view and theme park view rooms are all available in the Hawaii building.

Chocolates

The biggest perks of staying club level are the lounge and food offerings. One of the reasons the Polynesian club level is my favorite is the view from the lounge itself. Floor to ceiling windows look out over the lagoon across to Cinderella Castle. At night the lights dim and the music from Wishes fills the lounge. There’s nothing better after a long day at the parks then to relax in this beautiful space with a cocktail and watch the fireworks just a few feet from your hotel room.

The King Kamehameha Club lounge is on the second and third floors of the building with the food and drink being located on the second floor. The following food services are offered throughout the day:

This is a continental breakfast including fresh juices, specialty coffees, cereal, oatmeal, breakfast pastries, bagels and fresh fruit

Auinala – Noon – 4 pm

Mid-day snacks including Uncrustables, cookies, gummy bears, hummas and pita bread

Ahiahi – 5pm – 7 pm

Heavy hors d’oeuvres, cheese and crackers, beer and wine

Aumo – 8pm – 10 pm

Sodas and coffee are out all day and the lounge is always open. The lounge is two levels and provides plenty of seating. There is even a small TV area for children with Disney Jr. showing throughout the day. I love that it is like an extension of your hotel room, giving guests plenty of room to unwind or even find a quiet corner to enjoy a book.

Club level is definitely a treat and a great way to add more magic to your Walt Disney World vacation. Each deluxe resort’s club level offers its own flavor and magical touches. I’d love to share more about club accommodations at Walt Disney World with you and find just the right one for your family.
