Every child dreams of being a secret agent. And at Epcot, with Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, you can make that dream a reality. Dr. Doofenshmirtz, from “Phineas and Ferb” has tried to take over different countries around World Showcase. And it’s up to Agent P, with your help, to stop him. And along the way, you just might find some of EPCOTs hidden magic, that you can’t see any other way.
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is a fun, free, and interactive game through World Showcase. You can sign up at the International Gateway where you will receive your mission, and the cell phone that will guide you on your way. Should you choose to accept your mission, you’ll be given the choice of what country you’d like to visit in pursuit of Dr. Doofenshmirtz “evil” antics. The cell phone will guide you along the way to specific checkpoints – sometimes a statue, sometimes inside a building, and sometimes even to other secret agents disguised as Disney cast members!
As you reach each checkpoint the phone will direct you to look at specific areas of the park, and you should be pleasantly surprised, through the truly remarkable Disney magic, to find Agent P poking his head out of a flower pot, Dr. Doofenshmirtz stuck inside a statue, secret control panels inside what looks like a plain wall, and so much more. One of our favorites was when we were instructed to look over the lake, and within a few seconds, we were texted a picture of our family with squinting eyes and confused looks.
Each mission also includes dialogue by Phineas and Ferb (well, Phineas at least) as Agent P avoids the detection of his human companions, and, of course, many Dr. Doofenshmirtz backstories. Some missions even end with small trinkets you can take home with you as a reward for your hard work!
Each mission took us 20-30 minutes, but can be completed much faster if you’re really motivated. Once you complete your mission, you can choose to take on another mission (our kids begged to do another one, and truth be told, that was an easy yes because so did my husband and I). You can always choose another country, and if you really like the country you are in, stick around because each one has multiple missions.
If you want to see a part of EPCOT you can’t see any other way, and if you want to experience the kind of happiness that only Phineas and Ferb can bring, then I strongly recommend that you take advantage of Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure.
