During the fall months at Disney’s Hollywood and Vine restaurant, you can attend a special dinner called Minnie’s Halloween Dine, at Hollywood Studios. This dinner is special not only because you get to see five of the most popular Disney characters, but because they are dressed up in adorable Halloween costumes. It’s a great way to get you in the Halloween mood! Also, the food has a Halloween “twist” to it as well. Take a look:
The food was excellent, and I would say possibly the best character buffet food I have had at Walt Disney World. Some of the highlights were spiced pumpkin patch soup, mashed potatoes with garlic, Eggplant parmesan, shrimp mac and cheese with lobster sauce, pork in peach and apple BBQ sauce, and braised short ribs.
The kids even had their own section with regular fair like Mac and cheese, corn dogs and tater tots, but also some healthier kid options as well.
The desserts were just ok, they had several pastries, cookies, and soft serve ice cream, but they were special for Halloween.
The characters all came around to your table except for Minnie, who stood at the front door with her special backdrop. Our server gave us a card which we turned in to a cast member before we left in order to get our picture taken with her. There was a photopass photographer there as well taking pictures of you and your family with Minnie. We saw Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Mickey at our table in their Halloween best. The took photos and signed autographs as they went.
We really enjoyed this meal and thought it was special to have a holiday character buffet. This meal runs from September 4th-November 5th at Hollywood and Vine, dinner only. The price is $50 for adults and $30 for kids 3-9. They accept Tables in Wonderland and some dining plans.
