Hollywood & Vine has long been home to the Disney Junior characters at breakfast and lunch. But you can now join Minnie and friends in a fun, festive, themed dinner buffet!
Hollywood & Vine is a buffet celebrating the bounty of California. The menu includes lots of salads, fresh vegetables, savory meat dishes and more. The kid’s favorite part will likely be the dessert bar featuring a make your own sundae station and a chocolate fountain.
Minnie now hosts friends in her seasonal dinner parties. From June 6 to September 11, you will dine with Minnie in her Summertime Dine. Here you’ll find summer break favorites like Baked Buffalo Chicken and Lobster macaroni and cheese. Salads include fruit salad, strawberry spinach salad and more. There is a meat carving station where you can get delectable roast beef, and to finish off, the dessert bar includes peach crème puffs, apple tarts, salted caramel chocolate covered strawberries and passion fruit tarts.
When you check in, you’ll be given a pager to wait to be called. When your party is called, you’ll head into the restaurant where you’ll meet Donald for a PhotoPass photo opportunity. You’ll then be shown to your table. As soon as we were seated, our waitress arrived to take drink orders and explain the rotation the characters took to get to our table. She suggested we wait, as Minnie and Goofy were on their way! The best thing about character meals is that you don’t have to worry! All the characters will come around to your table. There is no waiting in line! Please be aware that at this meal, the characters do not sign autograph books. You receive a signed surfboard bookmark with their signatures (well, at the summertime dining it’s a surfboard!).
As we dined, Minnie, Goofy, Mickey and Daisy came around to visit us. The meal was wonderful. Everything was very fresh and I saw buffet items being replenished frequently. Our family favorites included the peel and eat shrimp, the lobster macaroni and cheese, roast beef and strawberry and spinach salad. There is also a fun kid’s buffet area with chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, tater tots, steamed broccoli and other kid favorites.
Minnie’s Seasonal Dinner is available as a buffet only or as a buffet with the Fantasmic seating option. Many in our group had not seen Fantasmic yet, so we booked the Fantasmic option. The regular buffet is $46.99 per adult and $27.99 per child, plus tax and gratuity. The Fantasmic option is $53.99 per adult and $32.99 per child, plus tax and gratuity. It is one table service credit either way if you are using the Disney Dining Plan. With the Fantasmic option, you are given vouchers to show at the Beauty and the Beast theater for a VIP seating area. Please note that you do still have to arrive early for the show, just not as early as those without the vouchers. So have something to distract those who get bored while waiting!
We’ve enjoyed Hollywood & Vine in the past, but appreciated the added fun the Disney characters brought. It was a fun, festive way to end the evening before heading to Fantasmic.
