Most of us, or us Disney-fanatic women, have dreamed of a being a Disney bride since we were little girls. That magical picture of our grown up selves in a big, white, puffy dress in front of the Cinderella Castle danced carelessly around our minds. That was until we were actually old enough to learn that weddings are expensive, and the price on a Disney Wedding was probably higher than the average wedding cost. However, I’m here to tell you that there are still options and I, myself, am going to be a Disney bride without breaking my bank!
Planning a wedding in itself is always a daunting task, but I’m here to take you step-by-step into the Disney Wedding planning process and my own personal journey to hopefully bring you some ease.
The first thing you need to know from the beginning is that a Disney Wedding is not out of reach and not just a dream! Disney has always been accommodating to creating a magical experience to anyone on any budget, Disney Weddings are no exception. So as long as your husband-to-be is on board, go for it!
Disney offers different wedding packages that are unique to location, budget, and guest size! All of which can be dreamed out on the exclusive Disney Wedding website. When you begin planning your wedding using their online hub, the first thing you need to decide is which of the four Disney Destinations you’d like your wedding to take place. You can choose from Florida, California, Hawaii or even a Disney Cruise. When you click on each of the individual destinations, next you can choose from Wedding Collections that each specific Destination offers. Now the collections are not the same for each Disney Destination, so make sure you look through all the options before deciding! Then each Disney Collection has different items included, ceremony locations and experiences, so make sure you throughly look through what each collection offers.
Disney World has always been my second home, so that’s where I’m personally planning my Disney Wedding. After clicking the Florida Destination, you are brought to the three Florida Wedding Collections that are available. The three collections are Wishes, Escape and Memories.
The Wishes Collection is the most lavish, and expensive with weddings starting at $12,000, option out of the three. You have the complete freedom to customize your Wedding to your deepest desires. Whether that includes Cinderella’s coach that drives you to your ceremony or getting married after Magic Kingdom closes and having the entire park to yourself (that’s starting at $180,000 – woah!), if you dream it, you can do it. Your entire wedding is completely customizable down to the cake, number of guests and even comes with a Disney Wedding Planner, which the other collections do not!
The Escape Collection is our personal choice in wedding collection, a more intimate wedding option with only up to 18 guests and starts at $5,000. With more limited options compared to the Wishes Collection, Escape still allows you to tweak your wedding to perfection and to your needs! Though you only get to choose from four different ceremony locations, you get a few things included in the cost of your wedding that makes it worth your while!
The final collection is the Memories Collection. This collection is limited to the bride, groom, and four wedding guests, making it Disney’s most intimate wedding offered in Florida! If you’re looking for a very personal wedding experience with a small budget, this collection would be perfect for you! Cost starts at only $2,495 and the choice between three ceremony locations!
