During our recent trip to Hollywood Studios we got the chance to check out the new Stars Wars Launch Bay. It is located where The Magic of Disney Animation was formally located. Star Wars Launch Bay is a walk through attraction featuring movie props, character meet and greets, video games, Star Wars artifacts, and shopping.
Whether you are a Star Wars fan or not Star Wars Launch Bay is a must during your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The different sections of Launch Bay are Launch Bay Theater, The Cantina, Launch Bay Cargo, Star Wars Gaming Center, and The Themed Galleries. The Themed Galleries located throughout Launch Bay are:
Celebration Hallway which displays large scale Star Wars replicas.
Celebrations Gallery which features iconic ships from Star Wars saga.
Preview Gallery which features props, costumes, and memorabilia from the latest movie, The Force Awakens.
My favorite by far was the character meet and greet with Darth Vader. It was such a cool experience! The other character meet and greet is Chewbacca which we did not get to meet on this visit.
My daughter’s favorite part of Star Wars Launch Bay was the gaming center. This interactive gaming center features Disney’s Infinity 3.0. My daughter had a blast playing videos games and was able to preview upcoming video games that are not yet released.
Our final stop in Star Wars Launch Bay was Launch Bay Cargo. This exclusive shopping area features art work including original pieces and collector items. This unique shopping experience also features Star Wars costumes, toys, themed magic bands, cell phone covers, and so much more.
