1. DO - Plan Dining, For resort guests dining reservations open 180 days prior to your check-in and if you are planning a visit during peak times this date can be crucial in getting both the restaurant and time you want. So start planning at least 7 months in advance to ensure prime availability. DON’T – Walk Up, Almost all Disney restaurants book up months in advance, so don’t walk up the day of and expect a seat. If you would find yourself in this position ask if you can place a to-go order, some restaurants do allow this and [...]

6 Tips for Early Risers at Disney World

2014-08-15T07:00:00-04:00August 15, 2014|Disney World|0 Comments

UPDATED JULY 14, 2019 So YOU are or have an early riser/s in your Disney squad?! Either by personal choice OR in my case kids that are up and raring to go by 5:30am, there are definitely ways to pass the time until it’s time to explore the parks! 1. Review your plan of attack for the day. I like to look over my Fastpass selections and dining reservations. I also take note of the locations of Disney snacks I have been Instagram stalking and wanting to try! 2. Explore your resort. Some of them are even equipped with playgrounds [...]

My Top 10 Reasons to Stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel

2014-07-25T07:00:00-04:00July 25, 2014|Disneyland|0 Comments

You know, any trip to Disneyland is a good trip! You just can’t go wrong at Walt Disney’s original theme park! My very first trip to Disneyland was when I was 40 years old. My husband finally got up the nerve to take the whole family and we planned the trip to fit our minimal budget. Since I’d never been to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World, I had no idea what I was in for. We stayed at a modest Good Neighbor hotel. We waited for a shuttle every early morning for what felt like hours. We waited again [...]

Update to Disney World’s FastPass Plus

2021-02-03T14:00:57-05:00May 6, 2014|Disney World|0 Comments

Disney has updated the FastPass Plus system. 60 days before you travel, you are able to go onto www.mydisneyexperience.com and select 3 FastPasses, per day, at 1 park. Starting last week, once you use your 3 Fast Passes for the day, you are able to go up to the Fast Pass kiosk and select another Fast Pass. You can keep going back after you use each Fast Pass to get another one. On my recent visit to the Magic Kingdom, I had selected 3 Fast Passes before I arrived. Anna & Elsa meet and greet, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder [...]

Magic Bands and Fastpass+: My Personal Experience

2013-12-20T07:00:00-05:00December 20, 2013|Disney News, Disney Travel, Disney World|0 Comments

Have you heard about Disney's new Magic Bands and Fastpass+?  I did research, took a class, and tried to learn all that I could about them for my clients.  It wasn’t until this past week when I experienced them on my own trip that I realized all the benefits they have to offer. One of the very first things that comes to mind when I think about using my Magic Band this week: convenience.  No more fishing through my bag to find my Key to the World cards, it was right there.  The band was also very comfortable AND waterproof.  I [...]

Our First Experience Using the New DAS

2013-11-01T07:00:00-04:00November 1, 2013|Disney World|2 Comments

My family and I took our annual fall Disney World trip October 17-19, 2013. This would be our first time using the new Magic Bands and using the Disability Access Service (DAS) card. My daughter is autistic and is unable to wait in lines. In our past Disney trips we always used the GAC and it worked wonderfully for my daughter. Disney’s new DAS went into effect October 9, 2013. Changes were made due to the abuse of the old GAC (Guest Assistance Card). With the old GAC we would go up to the Fastpass entrance for a ride and [...]

Disney to enforce Fastpass return times

2023-10-02T22:09:45-04:00February 9, 2012|Disney News, Disney World|0 Comments

I was at Disney last week and we were told by several cast members that it was coming. Then I saw this on WDW Magic so you know it is happening. I have an old Fastpass so I took a pic here it is: The time on it is 1pm to 2pm you could come back anytime between 1pm and 2pm and ride the attraction but Disney was not enforcing this and you could come back anytime after 1pm and ride even if it was after 2om. This will be changing starting March 7 2012 and Disney will [...]

Not sure if I like this .... Magic Kingdom Guests Will Be Able To Determine a Time To Meet with Mickey Mouse Beginning Later This Spring LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Magic Kingdom officials have a hunch a really "hot ticket" in their realm this summer is going to be something other than a ride, a snack or a show. Rather, it's a first-ever opportunity to nail down a time to meet with Mickey Mouse. When meet-and-greets with Mickey move into a permanent new location in Town Square later this spring, Magic Kingdom guests will be able to obtain a [...]
