Disneybestkeptsecrets

From the magic of meeting your favorite characters, to the smallest little detail in attraction décor, Disney is never short on making magic happen no matter where you are in the parks! Here are a few of my must-do’s every trip that are little known… but not for long, now that I’m sharing my four favorite secrets!

  1. Getting your silhouette hand-cut is one of THE best souvenirs you could come home with! On my last trip, my husband and I finally took the time to do this, and 10 minutes and just under $20 later, we walked away the most treasured item we’ve ever bought at Disney World! It was fast, easy and inexpensive! A lot of people know about this, but don’t know where to find the artists! The most popular locations are in Magic Kingdom – one is off of Main Street (on the right side, when walking toward the Castle!), and there’s another cart parked in Liberty Square!

GranFiestaTour

  1. The Gran Fiesta Tour is an adorable little ride featuring everyone’s favorite Duck…. Donald! This ride is tucked away inside the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot, so if you aren’t looking for it, you just might miss it! The ride rarely has a long wait (we walked right on!) and is so fun! To tell you how much of a secret this ride is, I didn’t even know about it for 2 trips until I finally spotted it while shopping in “Mexico”!

MNSSHP

  1. Another fun surprise are the special characters at Disney’s holiday parties! During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties, your favorite characters are dressed for the occasion (You can meet vampire Mickey at the Halloween party!), but did you know there are also rare characters you can meet ONLY at the parties? Yep! A few favorites are the 7 Dwarfs (so cute!) and also Jack Skellington! During the Halloween Party, Sally joins Jack for meet and greet opportunities, but during the Christmas Party, you get the chance to meet Sandy-Claws Jack! Be prepared for longer lines when meeting these characters since they are only available during the parties!
  2. Watching Wishes from somewhere other than in front of the Castle is one of the best happy accidents that’s ever happened! I only suggest this if you have more than one chance to watch Wishes during your trip, but let me tell you – this view is incredible! My favorite spot is right outside of Be Our Guest Restaurant – not only do you get a view of the beautiful back of the Castle, but you also get the Carousel! It’s magical, I promise! Another favorite spot is from the Train Station in Town Square – you get the front of the Castle view, but still from a different, higher up perspective!
