Currently Disneyland is celebrating its 60th anniversary with some limited time events. One of these is the new electrical parade called Paint the Night. Take a peek into new addition and make sure you don’t miss it before it ends in 2016.

Paint the Night Parade and dinner package

When the sun goes down on the Happiest Place on Earth Sleeping Beauty’s castle isn’t the only thing shining bright. That’s when Disneyland comes alive with its’ all new electrical parade brought directly from Hong Kong Disneyland. Called Paint the Night, it’s part of Disney’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration.

Before you see the first float arrive the music has you ready to “put your hands up” and “kick up your heels when you join the fun” eagerly anticipating the first sighting of Tinker Bell as she kicks off the line up. For the true Disney fans, listen closely because the old Electrical Parade tune is mixed in the new melody seamlessly.

This dazzling masterpiece features eight main floats comprised of over a million dancing LED lights along with numerous street performers with elaborate lit costumes to accent perfectly. This parade is unlike anything you’ve ever seen from Disney in the past and if you were a fan of the original Electrical Parade you’ll simply be mesmerized by this new version.

Featuring everyday favorites like Mickey and Minnie, there are over twenty characters including Anna, Elsa and Olaf as well Lightening McQueen, Sully, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Ariel. Don’t miss Cinderella’s glass slipper on display as well!

The parade can be viewed nightly and people start lining the route hours prior to start, so plan accordingly. Paint the Night Dinner packages are now being offered to give you dinner and reserved seating.  The options include either a 3 course dinner at Blue Bayou or an on-the-go package from Aladdin’s Oasis and reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.  On nights that it is offered twice, the second showing will be a lot less congested so if you can stay up late that will be your better choice. This is only one special offering that is part of the Diamond Celebration that is currently scheduled to end September 5, 2016 and click here for more about the other events.

As the parade theme music says “When can we do this again, I never want this to end” is exactly how I felt about not only this parade, but my Disneyland experience and if you’re ready for this same let’s get started planning!
