Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a great option for larger families who still want to stay together in one room. This resort is considered “value plus”, and has whimsical Disney touches and fun themes for each section.
There are three sections of suites and one section of standard rooms, but today I wanted to focus on just the Cars section of the resort.
When you approach the buildings, you are immediately transported into the world of Cars, and feel like you are in Radiator Springs along with your favorite characters. Just follow the “road” right up to your building to go to your room!
This section has it’s own pool, and even cone shaped “cabanas” so you can relax in the shade outside of your room (first come first served).
One of the reasons this resort is considered value plus is because the buildings that house the suites have interior hallways.
Upon entering the room I toured, to the left there was a colorful table that can be folded into a double bed.
There is a full bath across the hall, with two bathrooms total. When you walk into the bedroom, you will find a queen sized bed with plenty of space, it’s own television, nightstands, and a big window as well as another bathroom.
Everything has amazing Cars detailing, and you cannot forget for one minute that you are staying at a Disney hotel.
In the living room, you will find a couch that folds out into a bed, as well as a TV, a place to hang up clothing, and a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Don’t forget to check out the cool road map on the coffee table!
These suites sleep up to six, and offer plenty of room while not sacrificing privacy. They are a short walk to the main building and bus stop, and guests have access to any pools at the resort. Be sure to spend time walking around the area looking for Cars touches, you never know who you will find!
