Art of Animation Cars Section

2014-03-24T07:00:00-04:00March 24, 2014|Art of Animation, Disney Travel, Disney World, Resorts|0 Comments

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a great option for larger families who still want to stay together in one room. This resort is considered “value plus”, and has whimsical Disney touches and fun themes for each section. There are three sections of suites and one section of standard rooms, but today I wanted to focus on just the Cars section of the resort. When you approach the buildings, you are immediately transported into the world of Cars, and feel like you are in Radiator Springs along with your favorite characters. Just follow the “road” right up to your building [...]

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Little Mermaid rooms

2012-10-05T14:50:53-04:00October 5, 2012|Art of Animation, Disney News, Disney World, Resorts|2 Comments

I thought nothing could top the excitement of staying in a suite at Art of Animation last week. Being able to add a night in the brand new Little Mermaid standard rooms made it even better! These rooms opened to the public just 3 days prior to us checking in. Could I have been the first guest in this particular room? Who knows.. but I’m going to pretend I was because it will make me feel special. So let’s just go with it. The Little Mermaid buildings hold standard rooms as opposed to the suites in the Cars, Finding Nemo [...]

Art of Animation takes you to the movies – Part 3

Art of Animation takes you to the movies – Part 3 The Big Blue Pool If you have seen Finding Nemo you will no doubt feel as if you are in the Ocean with Nemo and friends when you step foot in the area of the “Big Blue pool”. From the moment you walk out of Animation Hall you will be mesmerized by what appears to be the Ocean.  Disney doesn’t miss a beat when it comes to imagination, buildings are painted like an underwater theme. There are Jelly Fish, Sharks and Small Fish to name a few, the colors [...]

Art of Animation will take you to the movies – Part 2

Animation Hall When you enter Animation Hall you immediately feel a difference from other resorts on Disney Property. It's colorful and feels airy and large. The Hall consists of the Registration area as well as the "ink and paint shop" which carries all of the Disney merchandise and collectibles you could imagine. The arcade which is standard in every Disney resort, they never miss a beat to draw kids in! There is also a business center and currency exchange, airport check in and of course an ATM. However what I really want to focus on is the incredible "Landscape of Flavors" the food court inside Animation Hall. The theme is gorgeous, it takes you into the middle of the Lion King, the [...]

Art of Animation will take you to into the movies….part 1

2012-07-13T00:22:05-04:00July 13, 2012|Art of Animation, Disney World, Resorts|0 Comments

When I planned our trip to Art of Animation little did I know it would make a lifelong impression with memories that will carry on at least a generation.  I kept it a secret from my boys until we pulled into the resort……the surprise on their face was priceless. As soon as you arrive you are greeted with ‘”Welcome Home”, if you are anything like me you will start planning your next trip right then, the Cast is so accommodating. I am sure that Walt Disney would be pleasantly pleased. This experience is unlike any I have had at a [...]
