Serenity Bay is the adult’s only beach on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Most cruises on the Disney Cruise Line that sail to the Bahamas and Caribbean make a stop here.
You must be 18 years of age or older to even get on the tram going out to this secluded spot. The water is clear, there are gentle waves, and a lot of well…serenity!
When we cruise, we like to be on the first tram out to this adults only paradise to get good photos and the best chairs and hammocks (there are very few hammocks).
There is just something about being there in the morning when there are not many people and the sun is not even up over the trees yet. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas for all the adults, but be careful when you pick your chairs, it is a long walk to the bathrooms if you go too far!
Behind the rows of chairs are cabanas. Some are massage cabanas, and some are private ones that you can rent for the day (remember, adults only. There are family cabanas on the family beach you may rent). There are only a few, and they book up very fast.
There are servers that will walk the beach taking drink orders and bringing them to you, so you don’t even have to leave your chair. But, you will want to leave that chair as soon as you smell the delicious BBQ aroma coming from the adults only open air restaurant!
There is plenty of shade, so it’s a nice and cool place to eat lunch.
You can choose from hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, fish, ribs, and of course dessert.
We always grab some drinks to bring back to our chairs with us from the restaurant or bar.
I am always sure to get one or two of my favorite drink…the konk cooler, which is only available on the island.
You may even see a visitor wandering the beach willing to take photos with you.
You really don’t want to miss this beautiful spot on Castaway Cay, it’s worth the trip out to the other side of the island!
Grab a chair, put your toes in the sand, grab a konk cooler, and relax, you are on vacation!
