At the beginning of May, I headed down to Walt Disney World for a girls trip, and stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort. I had never stayed at this resort before, but heard good things since the room renovations.
The rooms (except pirate rooms) got complete makeovers, including the upgrade to queen beds like the other moderate resorts. I couldn’t wait to see them as the photos looked great!
I booked a water view and requested Jamaica or Aruba, and was given an amazing first floor room in the Jamaica section. (My room was the one on the left in this photo.)
We were steps away from the beach and a lovely hammock I took a nap in one afternoon.
Below is the view as I stepped outside of my room. If you look off into the distance to the left you will see the pool area/food court across the lake.
The room itself was very tropical and spacious. It reminded me of the rooms at the Polynesian resort but for a fraction of the price.
There was a flat screen TV, coffee pot, and refrigerator. (Note, some rooms accommodate 5 guests with a pull down trundle bed. Our room was not one of these.)
The bathroom had two sinks, a safe, iron and ironing board, and a clothes hanging rack. There were two doors that you could slide closed for privacy. There was also a separate door housing the shower and toilet.
By the window was a table and two chairs, along with a really cute chandelier.
I loved the detail of the table, it looked like a pineapple!
We found the room to be plenty big, very clean, and had everything we needed. I highly recommend these new refurbished rooms!
