If you’re a ‘Simpsons’ fan, you cannot miss visiting Springfield, USA at Universal Orlando. The attention to detail in this area is incredible and from the moment you see the sign, you will feel as if you stepped into the TV series. From building exteriors to food to attractions to signs, ‘Simpsons’ fans will never want to leave.

Welcome to Springfield

When you first enter Springfield, you’ll see the iconic “Welcome to Springfield” sign (featuring Blinky) as well as the Jebediah Springfield statue. And you can’t miss the Duff Beer garden, Moe’s Tavern, and the Kwik-E-Mart. Look around – you’ll also see the Android’s Dungeon and Baseball Card Shop, Nelson and a special pay phone, and Cletus’ Chicken Shack.

Springfield has some of the best food at Universal Orlando. The exterior of the food area looks like separate buildings but it’s all connected inside. You can visit Lisa’s Teahouse of Horror for salads, fruit and healthy options. Cletus’ Chicken Shack has chicken and waffles, chicken arms, chicken thumbs and more. At the Frying Dutchman, you’ll find a fried version of everything under the sea. Luigi’s has pizza, both vegetarian and meat options. The Krusty Burger is my personal favorite serving of course, the Krusty Burger. You can also get Sideshow Bob Foot Long and Homer’s favorite, the Ribwich. Flaming Moe’s dispenses beverages based on the show such as Flaming Moes and Buzz cola (both with non-alcoholic options). There is plenty of seating available inside and out and you can also visit Moe’s Tavern or Flaming Moe’s for Duff beer. Outdoor dining options include Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck, the Duff Beer Garden and Lard Lad Donuts. One of my other favorite things about dining in Springfield is the curly fries (which you can’t find anywhere else in the park).

The attractions in Springfield include The Simpsons Ride and Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl. The Simpsons Ride is a motion simulator that takes you through the TV show as well as a funny take on theme parks while Kang & Kodos’ is similar to Disney’s Dumbo ride. Older children and Simpsons fans shouldn’t disregard it as a kiddie ride though. You’ll love some of the gags and jokes that happen during the ride. There’s also a midway area with a ‘Simpsons’ take. The Itchy and Scratchy themed Whack a Rat, Help Santa’s Little Helper racing game, and all the rest have fun Simpsons prizes!

One of my favorite things about the different areas at Universal Orlando are the themed signs. No signs are safe – the attraction height charts, entrance/exit signs, and even the stroller parking signs.

Springfield is a ‘Simpson’s’ fan’s dream come true. Don’t miss your opportunity to visit the city that is home to the longest running TV family.
