Will you be celebrating something special on your next vacation to Walt Disney World? Follow these essential tips to make your celebration even more special!

Celebrating at WDW

I love finding something special to celebrate when I go to Disney World! Or maybe it’s the other way around and I find something special to celebrate so I can go to Disney?! Either way, Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate all types of special occasions! After honeymooning at Disney, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, I’ve accumulated a few essential tips to follow when celebrating at a Disney theme park!

Anniversary Buttons

1. Pick up a celebration button. These are fun buttons that can be found in your Disney resort lobby and at all Disney parks at guest services. There are a wide variety of buttons for all celebrations you can possibly think of! Anniversaries, birthdays, first visits, “Happily Ever After” for those honeymooners, and even a simple “I’m celebrating!” button for those celebrating other occasions! Wearing these around the parks are so fun, cast members and guests alike will be telling you “congratulations” and “happy birthday” throughout your entire trip! Not to mention, they also make wonderful souvenirs!

In Room Celebrations with WDW Floral

2. Set up an In-Room Celebration with WDW Floral. Walt Disney World’s Floral service offers amazing surprises they like to call “In Room Celebrations”. Do this for your spouse, your child, grandchild, etc. as a fun surprise for whatever you happen to be celebrating while at the Happiest Place on Earth! The service is set up on a specified date of your choice, and will be done while you are away at a park so it is ready when you come back for the evening! One of my good friends did this as a wedding gift for my husband and I while we were on our honeymoon! It was the most wonderful surprise to come back to on our first full day in the parks and it really set us up for a magical vacation!!

Anniversary Meal at Cinderella's Royal Table

3. Make reservations for a special meal or event. This is possibly the most fun thing to do! Make reservations at a restaurant you wouldn’t normally go to, maybe indulge a little bit and order a big dessert, make arrangements for a fireworks dessert cruise, or a fun behind the scenes tour of one of the parks! All of these are a sure way to make any celebration that much more special and will make memories that last a lifetime!

4. Note your celebration on your reservation. Most important of all – make sure your celebration is noted on your reservation upon booking, that way when you check-in, your celebration will be noted at your resort and all restaurants you go to! During our anniversary trip last winter, we returned to our resort to find a special signed photo from Mickey and Minnie! While special service is not always guaranteed, you never know when some extra “pixie dust” will be sent your way!

I hope these tips help you find something fun and special to do to celebrate your next big occasion during your stay at Walt Disney World!
