Saying Goodbye To The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

2023-09-29T18:09:49-04:00December 30, 2015|Disney World, Hollywood Studios|0 Comments

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is saying farewell to the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This magnificent event has been a holiday tradition at Hollywood Studios for the past 20 years. It all started when the Osborne family from Arkansas offered Disney their light display. Each year the family’s light display grew bigger and more elaborate until it grew too big for their home. So in 1995 they handed over their display to Disney which became a permanent holiday exhibition for the past 20 years. The display is made up of over five million lights and over sixty snow machines. Little Details at the Disneyland Resort

2015-12-28T06:00:00-05:00December 28, 2015|Disneyland|0 Comments

One major difference between Disneyland and other amusement parks is the huge amount of detail put into the smallest of details. When creating Disneyland, Walt wanted a place that took you out of your everyday world and made everything you saw take you back to a specific place and time, and with his team’s help, he ensured that he got every magical detail right. And the most amazing part of all of these efforts is that, unless you’re looking closely, you will miss most of them. Upon entering the park, you can’t miss the giant Mickey face in the flower [...]

Paint the Night Parade & Dinner Packages at Disneyland

2015-12-23T06:00:00-05:00December 23, 2015|Disneyland|0 Comments

Currently Disneyland is celebrating its 60th anniversary with some limited time events. One of these is the new electrical parade called Paint the Night. Take a peek into new addition and make sure you don’t miss it before it ends in 2016. When the sun goes down on the Happiest Place on Earth Sleeping Beauty’s castle isn’t the only thing shining bright. That’s when Disneyland comes alive with its’ all new electrical parade brought directly from Hong Kong Disneyland. Called Paint the Night, it’s part of Disney’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration. Before you see the first float arrive the music [...]

Why Park Hopper Tickets are worth it (and when they aren’t)

2015-12-21T06:00:00-05:00December 21, 2015|Disney World|0 Comments

When planning your Disney vacation, one of the first decisions to make is whether or not to add the Park Hopper option to your park tickets. There are pretty much two types of people, those who park hop and those who don’t (and maybe a third group who doesn’t know the difference; if that’s you then keep reading!) Lately, it seems, I have worked with numerous families who said they NEVER get the Park Hopper because they ”don’t need it” or “won’t use it” who end up needing and using the Park Hopper option. I have also had families insist [...]

My Conversations with the Characters

2015-12-18T06:00:00-05:00December 18, 2015|Disney Travel|0 Comments

Character meet and greets are a main attraction at Disney, and I love them! I have my favorites that I go see every year! I have so much fun with them by just holding simple conversations, and here is my secret tip on how you can have memorable interactions, too! Be Creative! The Characters are more than willing to talk, you just need to provide a topic! I try to find something that is personal to me but that can also relate to the character. Being creative helps them interact since they see so many people throughout the day! [...]

3 Things I Won’t Do Again On My Disney Vacation

2015-12-16T06:00:00-05:00December 16, 2015|Disney Travel|0 Comments

Even though I traveled to Walt Disney World three times in the past year, each trip has been extremely different! From jam packed, to extremely relaxing, to going for a RunDisney race, I’ve experienced many different kinds of Disney vacations! Throughout these experiences, I’ve learned what I like to do…. And what I’m okay with not doing on future vacations. Read on to learn about the top three things I’ve learned so you can do Disney like a pro! 1. Don’t sleep in. On my most recent trip, we relaxed a little bit more and didn’t pack so much [...]

The Barnstormer for first time coaster riders

2015-12-15T06:00:45-05:00December 15, 2015|Disney World, Magic Kingdom|0 Comments

Going to Disney World for the first time brining little ones is an amazing experience.   Just because you love Space Mountain or Splash Mountain doesn’t mean that should be the first ride you take your little ones on. We all crawl before we walk and I think you should do that same with rides. The last thing you want to happen on a 6 day trip to Disney World is your child is too scared to go on any of the rides. The Barnstorm starring the Great Goofini it the perfect first ride for your little ones. Gentle turns [...]

Disney’s Crystal Palace Restaurant in Magic Kingdom

2015-12-14T06:00:00-05:00December 14, 2015|Disney World|0 Comments

Dining experiences are a big part of any vacation to Walt Disney World. There are so many restaurants with different types of cuisine, and lots of different character meals as well. One of my favorite restaurant experiences is The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. This is a Table Service buffet, and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It features the characters from Winnie the Pooh: Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.   During your meal, each character will stop at your table to sign autographs and pose for pictures. Hint: seat your children (or other family members who want to be in [...]
