This year has started off to be an amazing runDisney year for me! I just finished the second annual Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend at the Disneyland Resort!

runDisneyStarWarsRace

runDisney is already a family-friendly event, with Kids Races and Family 5Ks, but adding a Star Wars theme was the epitome of an ideal race for all of us true Star Wars Fans! And the best is yet to come! In April, I will be running the Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend – The Dark Side and earning the Inaugural Kessel Run Medal for running both Star Wars Half Marathon races in one year!

The Dark Side Race will be held April 14-17, 2016 at the Walt Disney World Resort. Current open registration is closed, however Charity groups are still open and are an amazing way to run at Disney and engage in helping others.

Next up for me will be Inaugural Disneyland Paris!

I’m #allinforparis and am super excited! Disneyland Paris is offering a Family 5K and Half Marathon for the weekend plus a Welcome Party Friday night and an exclusive Wild Bill’s Show Party for race participants Saturday night! The bonus for running this race: I will receive the Inaugural Coast to Chalet Race medal for running a race at Disneyland/Walt Disney World and in France!

Things to know about running Disneyland Paris:

Initial vacation package registration was October of 2015, however, open online race registration will be held on February 16th.   You can also register to run for Charities.

This race will follow French running regulations that require a health release from your Doctor prior to final acceptance to the race. (Please contact me for a copy of the Health Certificate)

My final goal for this year will be to earn the Coast to Coast Challenge Medal! To achieve this milestone, any runDisney participant must run a Disneyland race and a WDW race. I will add the Wine and Dine Half Marathon in November, 2016. The Wine and Dine Half Marathon is a unique runDisney race because it is held at night with an awesome after party in Epcot!

I have been participating in runDisney since 2008. My family has been apart of it all: from Chear Squad, to Kids Races, to 5Ks, 10Ks, Half Marathons and Full Marathons! We have competed in Disneyland and Walt Disney World events and have had the privilege of running for Charities. I have the benefit of experiencing runDisney Host resorts, Good Neighbor Hotels and Resorts and even Disney Resorts not apart of the runDisney weekend. I have the know-how to help you create a memorable runDisney vacation weekend!
