The Bon Voyage character breakfast is the newest dining option at Walt Disney World. It is located at Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk, so there is no theme park ticket required to dine. At this location, you dine with a set menu as opposed to the normal buffet, and you can meet Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Ryder.

Upon arrival, you are given a menu and asked which beverage you would like. My server was holding orange juice, but said I could get soda, coffee, or juice. I opted for soda while my daughter had milk and my husband had OJ.

Very soon a frying pan of pastries was brought to our table. I loved the theming. The sun and “braided” bread for Rapunzel, and a clam shell pastry were some of the offerings in the pan. They were all VERY sweet though!

For your appetizer, you can choose between a fruit salad or yogurt parfait. The fruit in both were good but the yogurt was just ok. Again I loved the grab and crown touches.

My daughter got the “Mickey waffle” which ended up being an Ariel and Flounder waffle, and bacon. She ate the chocolate, sprinkles and strawberries, but I had her waffles and they tasted like normal Disney waffles, a little sweet but good.

The King Tritons shipwreck was good, and tasted pretty much like pizza. It was a calzone, with lots of Sunday gravy, and meat on the inside. Hearty and filling!

The Royal Breakfast was and Oak-Grilled Steak, Cheesy Egg Torte, Asparagus, Crispy Onions and Roasted Potatoes. I didn’t have this one but was told it was good, but the potatoes a little peppery.

The adult price is $34 for a drink, appetizer, and entrée, while a child’’ costs $20. This counts as ONE credit on the dining plan, which is a good deal considering you get to meet four characters for this price as well. Tables in Wonderland cards are also accepted here.
