The holidays are just around the corner and I love visiting Walt Disney World when it’s all decked out for the season. The parks have added holiday touches like Christmas-themed character cavalcades, special treats, and beautiful decorations to capture the magic of the season. It’s the most magical time of the year to visit! During your vacation, it’s always a good idea to plan a day for a little downtime, so you can relax by the pool, do a little shopping and take a break to refresh a bit. During our day off from the parks, my family likes to [...]

Are you a French fry lover? Do you scope out places for French fries like I do? Then there is one place in particular that you need to make sure you pay a visit to, or in my case, two or three visits to. If you didn’t know, Disney Springs updated and added a whole bunch of new shops, restaurants and even cute, little snack kiosks around the area. My favorite? The Daily Poutine! The Daily Poutine is a small, snack kiosk that is located in The Marketplace. It is snug behind the Lego Store and off to the [...]

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

2017-02-16T06:00:25-05:00February 16, 2017|Disney Springs|0 Comments

One of my favorite places in Disney Springs to Explore is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar! It’s inspired by Jock Lindsey, the seaplane pilot, that helped Indiana Jones escape the jungle in “Raiders of the Lost Ark!” We only saw Jock for a brief few minutes in the movie, but thanks to Disney’s Imagineers, we can relive his experiences and adventures through his bar! The Restaurant and Bar is a replica of a 1940s float plane hanger that is full of memorabilia and aviation details. The story is that Jock landed here in Disney Springs looking for the Fountain of Youth. [...]

Boatwright’s Dining Hall – A Disney Dining Hidden Gem

2016-11-17T06:00:32-05:00November 17, 2016|Disney Springs, Disney World|0 Comments

One of the many great things about staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside resort is the boat to Disney Springs where you will find dozens of dining options. But you don’t have to leave the resort to find one of the hidden gems of Disney dining – Boatwright’s Dining Hall. While most Disney restaurants require advanced reservations you’ll often find availability here on a walk-up basis. Anyone can dine at Boatwright’s but you’ll find it most convenient for those staying at Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter. Located along the Sassagoula River, Boatwright’s Dining Hall tells the story [...]
