With 100+ restaurants on the Walt Disney World property, a first time visitor can get overwhelmed with all of the options! As a fan of Disney dining, I have a few tried and true restaurants that I suggest to all first time visitors! Chef Mickey’s Here you can dine with Mickey and the gang – including Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto! I’m not huge on buffets, but I really enjoy this one! Available meal times are breakfast, brunch and dinner. What to get: If you come for breakfast or brunch - Mickey waffles, of course! Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort [...]

Dining Plans can be confusing and even divisive among Disney fans. There seem to be two schools of Walt Disney World vacationers-those who do the dining plan and those who don’t. And maybe a third school of people who don’t even know about it. Actually, I was once guilty of being in that category … I have since seen the light and I am proud to say I have traveled to Disney both with and without a Dining Plan and have loved every single trip (and enjoyed GREAT food no matter what). So, without further ado; here is some basic [...]

Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

2013-11-11T07:00:00-05:00November 11, 2013|characters, Dining, Dining Reservations, Disney World, Epcot|0 Comments

If you have a Princess fan in your family, don’t miss the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot. We were so excited to start our first full day at Disney World with this breakfast. Our reservations were at 8:30 am. Epcot opens at 9 am (and World Showcase doesn’t open until 11 am). If your breakfast reservation is before the park opens, there is a dedicated turnstile for you to enter through. We headed through an empty Future Showcase to World Showcase. There was a good crowd already gathered outside the [...]

Flying Fish Café… a Hidden Gem?

2023-10-02T22:27:29-04:00January 10, 2013|Dining Reservations, Disney Blogs, Disney World|0 Comments

Flying Fish Café is a restaurant that does not get a lot of love in the Disney Community. Now let me preface this statement by saying I do not mean that Flying Fish receives poor reviews. What I mean is that it is not a restaurant that a casual Disney fan has heard much about. Personally Disney thinks that they have the “best kept secret” however for me Flying Fish is my “best kept Disney Secret”. As I strolled down the Boardwalk on a midsummer's evening I had butterflies in my stomach in anticipation for my meal at Flying Fish [...]
