GOOD (FAST) FOOD WITH A VIEW
Disney’s Cars Land area in California Adventure is so incredibly well-done, you absolutely must go see it! The attention to detail is amazing. And this is also true at Radiator Springs’ local eatery, Flo’s V8 Cafe.
From the moment you walk up, you feel transported into the Cars movies. I half expected to see an animated vehicle roll up to order some food here!
Once inside, the place seems like an old fashioned soda-fountain establishment from the 50’s or 60’s. You can eat in one of the dining rooms, but an even better idea is to eat outside.
You can sit out front and enjoy the ambiance of an old full-service gas station (I know, it doesn’t sound like a great location to eat a meal, but there’s just so much to see!) complete with oil cans and gas pumps.
Or go around to the side for the best view: Ornament Valley and the Radiator Springs Racers.
I sat here and enjoyed the weather and the view and had a lovely leisurely meal. It was a classy meal, too, since they use real plates and real silverware!
Flo’s V8 Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has very tasty food — not just the typical fast-food type offerings. I had the Roast Beef & Cheddar sandwich, which is served on a garlic chive bun with caramelized onions, and Signature coleslaw. It was rather messy, but totally delicious. Next time, I need to save room for the Chocolate Mud Pie-O-Rama, or one of Flo’s Classic Shakes! They also have healthier options and vegetarian choices, as well as healthy Mickey Check meals for kids.
All in all, it was an excellent dining experience, and I’d definitely recommend it.
