Some Must Do’s when visiting LEGOLAND first you must head over to Explorer Island especially if you have young kids or anyone who has a fascination with fossils this is where explorers can dig for fossils, ride on a junior size roller coaster, climb inside a “Megga-Egga Saurus” or lie inside a real life-sized dinosaur footprint, you will see just how big these amazing animals really were. Next head over to Coastersaurus where you will reach speeds up to 21 miles per hour as you climb, turn, and dip all around a prehistoric jungle of animated and life sized dinosaurs all made out of life-sized Legos. You will not miss the 1,100 pound Brachiosaurus peeking at all the riders as it takes a dip in a pond and the 10 foot tall Parasaurolophus searching for food. Next head over to Fairy tale brook where you can take a ride on this imaginative ride where the entire family can ride in a leaf-shaped boats and sail gently through fairy sale scenes from characters made all out of Lego bricks.

Legoland Rides

Next head over to the Safari Trek where you can explore the wild life of Africa in an animal print jeep and see life-sized animals, from gorillas, elephants, and crocodiles just to name a few. All made out of Lego bricks!! The newest place to explore is Lego friends of Heart Lake City where you can sing and dance along at the Friends Forever Stage. This is also a great place to stop and grab something sweet to eat at the City Park Creperie where you can eat freshly made crepes. Another fun area to explore is Fun town. Fun town is the best place to go to have the little ones explore in a scaled downtown created just from them. You can then take a walkabout the Adventures Club which takes you through the Amazon rain forest in Ancient Egypt and the Artic.

If you are craving a burger you must stop at the Burger stop where you can enjoy an all-beef patty or patty with cheese and French fries! You can then walk across to the Driving school where your kids can get a “driver’s license.” This is the one are you do not have to be 16 to drive and you can learn about signaling, turning, stopping and going. Next head over to Duplo Play town, this fun play area is catered for the younger kids. There are slides, buildings and activities to keep everyone entertained for hours.

Before you leave LEGOLAND you must stop by Miniland USA. Miniland is in the heart of LEGOLAND and is simply breathtaking. This area is dedicated to the reproduction of seven areas in the United States all constructed out of Legos. There were over 20 million Lego bricks used! Miniland’s newest feature is the Lego Star Wars where guests can enjoy seven of the most famous scenes from six live action Star Wars movies, as well as a scene from the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars using over 1.5 million Lego bricks to create this breathtaking display. There truly are no words to describe you must see in person to really appreciate this masterpiece!

LEGOLAND is one of the best theme parks to visit because they cater to the entire family and have many extras so even the little ones can have fun! There are over 60 rides, attractions, and shows so there really is something for everyone and every age. With the addition of LEGOLAND’s Water Park and Sea life aquarium there are even more choices and things to explore at this amazing theme park in San Diego, California.

LEGOLAND is made up of over 15,000 Lego models made completely out of Legos! The largest Lego model is of a red dinosaur named “Bronte”; over two million Lego bricks were used to create him. Bronte is over 9 feet tall and 34 feet wide. The smallest model is of a pigeon on a building in the Washington D.C. area of Miniland U.S.A. which is made out of only four Lego bricks!! If you go to McDonalds fast food restaurant they often have coupons for 1 free kids admission to LEGOLAND California and your choice of one of the newer additions to LEGOLAND, the LEGOLAND Water Park or Sea Life Aquarium.
