Summer 2016 is going to be Epic at Universal Orlando Resort! And here’s why!

  1. The long awaited return of King Kong!

WhatsNewUniversalKingKong

Kongfrontation was an original attraction at the park when it opened it 1990. This main attraction in the park’s New York section, was amazing and state-of-the-art for the time. That ride closed in 2002, and we’ve been waiting for a new King Kong ever since! And now the wait is over! Skull Island: The Rein of Kong will be opening this Summer! You will be immersed into a multi-dimensional experience and must fight to survive as your expedition is caught between King Kong and Prehistoric Creatures!

What to Know: This attraction requires 3D glasses, is best for teens and adults, and will be located near the Pteradon flyers.

  1. The Incredible Hulk Coaster Roars back to Life!

The Incredible Hulk Coaster, as we knew it, closed last year for a makeover. The re-imagined Coaster launches this Summer to a new in-line experience and back story where you have the chance to become just like The Hulk; a new, smoother track; and a new, modern car with the latest technology built for a more absorbing experience!

What to Know: This attraction is best for teens and adults and will be located near the original Hulk entrance in Marvel Super Hero Island.

  1. Transport Your Family to Paradise at the New Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Another exciting way to stay close to the action opens this summer with the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort! This Caribbean themed resort will be a unique edition to the Universal Family of Resorts. The Sapphire will have the largest swimming pool of the Universal Resorts, will have unique Caribbean Dining, an exclusive Rum Bar, and will transport you to the action with water taxis, a walking path, and shuttle buses!!

What to Know: Staying at The Sapphire will grant you early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – one hour before the theme park opens.   The Unlimited Express Pass is NOT available at The Sapphire; however, I suggest adding the park feature at the Kiosk in the Resort Lobby.

  1. NBC Sports Bar and Grill

A whole new sports experience is now apart of the unique Universal Dining Restaurants! This All-American Sports Bar offers over 100 beers on draft and in bottles, nearly 100 HD screens streaming sports all-day/all-night, and a great menu cooked on an open fire grill. This Restaurant can not be missed because it sports a 120-foot-wide HD stadium screen that expands over the entrance of the building.

What to Know: Reservations are not required; Food Allergies? A Travel With The Magic Professional can help by contacting Universal Dining for special menu options.
