You may be thinking that Universal Orlando is a perfect place to take your older teenagers, and you’re right… but did you know, there are fun things for ALL ages at this park? You can take the whole family and have a great time here!

Family Fun

The very youngest ones will have a great time in Woody Woodpecker’s Kid Zone, with rides like:

A Day in the Park with Barney – a sing along show with Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop, with all your toddler’s favorite songs and a chance to meet Barney after the show!

Barney

E.T. Adventure – ride a bicycle-type vehicle to help get E.T. back to his planet! No bike-riding skills are required.

Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster – a very tame coaster for little ones. Watch it go around a few times before you get on, just to build the excitement!

Universal’s Superstar Parade – kids love to watch the parade, so pick a spot, get some snacks, and enjoy the show!

Elementary school kids will like some more action-oriented attractions like these:

Shrek 4D – after a funny pre-show, you ride with Shrek, Donkey, and Dragon to rescue Fiona.

Shrek

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem – This one also has a great pre-show area, and once you board the ride, mayhem really does ensue!

Men in Black Alien Attack – this is a fun ride where you shoot aliens from your ride vehicle. The theming here is really cool. For the highest scores, aim for the green targets!

Men in Black

Animal Actors on Location show – this is an animal show where you can actually see a little of the training that the animals are getting. It’s all done with positive reinforcement, never any sort of punishment.

Disaster! A Major Motion Picture Ride – here, you get to see how special effects are used in movie-making

Of course, there are lots of attractions for Middle Schoolers and teenagers here, like:

The Simpsons Ride – watch for all the tongue-in-cheek jokes you’ll see before you begin the ride!

Transformers: The Ride- 3D – an intense 3D experience fighting for the Allspark!

All ages will enjoy walking through the Simpsons area, Springfield USA, with its great theming. There are midway-type games to try, little ones can go on Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl ride. You can also enjoy a Duff Beer or a Krusty Burger in this area. It’s great fun!

And don’t forget, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley will be opening here this summer, and it will be a wonderful area full of details to discover, from rides to shopping to restaurants! And the new Hogwart’s Express train, which can take you to Hogsmeade in Universal’s Islands of Adventure (Park-to-Park Ticket required)

Most of these attractions are part of the Universal Express Pass system. You may purchase the Express Pass along with your park ticket, and do each of these experiences one time through the (shorter) Express Pass line. Or you can stay at one of Universal Orlando’s deluxe hotels (Hard Rock Hotel, Lowes Portofino Bay Resort, or Lowes Royal Pacific Resort), and get the UNLIMITED Express Pass included for free! You’ll also get early entry privileges for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so it’s truly a great value.
