Disney After Hours

Returning for select nights in early 2018 is the Disney After Hours event! I had the opportunity to attend this event earlier this year and I loved every minute! Disney After Hours is by far my favorite “extra” I’ve added on to my vacations in the last couple of years – I think you’ll love it, too! Disney After Hours is a hard-ticketed event, meaning it costs extra to attend, however a regular park ticket is not necessary – [...]

Minnie’s Halloween Dine at Hollywood and Vine

During the fall months at Disney’s Hollywood and Vine restaurant, you can attend a special dinner called Minnie’s Halloween Dine, at Hollywood Studios. This dinner is special not only because you get to see five of the most popular Disney characters, but because they are dressed up in adorable Halloween costumes. It’s a great way to get you in the Halloween mood! Also, the food has a Halloween “twist” to it as well. Take a look: The food was excellent, [...]

The Characters of Cape May Café Breakfast Buffet

Cape May Breakfast buffet is located at Disney’s Beach Club resort. It has a fun, sunny atmosphere and is easy to get to right off the lobby. The restaurant is surrounded by colorful beach umbrellas, and you may even see some sandcastles. The food is delicious with a super fun waffle station with toppings, omelets, fruit, and the best cheese grits I’ve had on property. However, the stars of the show are the characters you will get to see [...]

Character Dining at 1900 Park Fare

Every time I visit Walt Disney World, I try at least one new place to dine. For my last trip home, I decided one of these restaurants would be 1900 Park Fare. I had heard so many great things and wanted to experience it for myself. I couldn’t decide between breakfast and dinner, so I chose both! Let me share a little about each dining experience and what I loved about them. Things to know about 1900 Park Fare: [...]

The Daily Poutine in Disney Springs

Are you a French fry lover? Do you scope out places for French fries like I do? Then there is one place in particular that you need to make sure you pay a visit to, or in my case, two or three visits to. If you didn’t know, Disney Springs updated and added a whole bunch of new shops, restaurants and even cute, little snack kiosks around the area. My favorite? The Daily Poutine! The Daily Poutine is a [...]

Chef Mickey’s Brunch

Chef Mickey’s is located at Disney’s Contemporary resort, which is on the monorail near the Magic Kingdom theme park. My favorite thing about this buffet is not that you get to see five characters all at once (although that is amazing), but it’s that you get to eat a mixture of breakfast and lunch foods. The prices for the brunch are listed in the below photo, as well as a sampling of some of the foods offered to guests dining [...]

Saying Goodbye To The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is saying farewell to the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This magnificent event has been a holiday tradition at Hollywood Studios for the past 20 years. It all started when the Osborne family from Arkansas offered Disney their light display. Each year the family’s light display grew bigger and more elaborate until it grew too big for their home. So in 1995 they handed over their display to Disney which became a permanent holiday exhibition for [...]

Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian Resort

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted two things: a) to be a princess and b) to experience a real life tea party. Well, when you are at Disney World, every girl is a princess, so I had that one covered, but my next goal to accomplish was experiencing the tea party! Luckily, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort offers an amazing traditional British afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room! Held from two o’clock to five o’clock [...]

Dinner at Be Our Guest

Be our Guest is the newest restaurant at Disney World which opened in Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland November 2013. It is a visually stunning restaurant. The exterior is very majestic, featuring Beast's castle which is located at the top of a rocky mountain terrain complete with snow caps and waterfall. One thing that needs to be mentioned is this restaurant doesn't have a princess vibe like some believe when they hear it has a Beauty and the Beast theme. This [...]

Changes to Disney Dining Reservation policy

Changes to table service dining cancellation policy Disney is making changes to the reservation cancellation policy for some of the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World. It has been a frequent complaint with guests that they are unable to dine at restaurants due to unavailability, that is in many cases caused by other guests making reservations and then not attending or guests double booking restaurants because they dont know where they want to dine. Disney Dining Seasonal Price Increases

Seasonal price increases at The Walt Disney World Resort is something that people just seem to forget about when planning a vacation to Disney.  Disney was doing this for awhile around Thanksgiving and Christmas but it is more wide spread.  Basically the way this works is that during certain times of year the Walt Disney World Resort will become busier and certain dining locations will see an increase in guests wanting to dine there.  If you choose to travel to Disney [...]
